Which town car company would you recommend for a trip from POP to Universal for the day? There are 4 of us and we don't want to do mears.

I have a friend who used Sunray Transportation for transfers from POP to Universal. Just check their website for rates. I have used them for my airport transfers for 3 years and they are great. I wouldn't leave them, even if ME is free!

I recently used FL Tours for round trip transportation from Orlando Int Airport to Beach Club Villas. I would recommend this service to anyone who is not renting a vehicle. I have tried the Magical Express and found the wait times as unacceptable. The return trip on the bus required us to sit apart from each other. Even some left standing.

I have used Tiffany Towncar, FL Tours, and Sunray Transporation.

Sunray gets our business now. We've never had a problem with Tiffany, but Sunray uses big SuVs, and with 4 people, you may be more comfortable in an SUV v. town car.

We've never had a problem with FL Tours, but honestly, if you wanted to support the boards, make a donation directly to the boards, and use Sunray. We have found that FL Tours is not competitively priced and is using people's allegiance to the boards and their being a board sponsor to maintain business. We've had better service from Sunray.

P.S. One thing to consider: Sunray will only accept cash and traveler's checks (they do this to keep their rates down). Tiffany will accept credit cards. Also, don't forget to mention "the Mouse for less" in Sunray's "how did you hear about us" field online, and you save $8 r/t.

Another question, with Sunray they have an * that states attractions transfers are provided as a courtesy to their airport guests. Does that mean if I am using ME to and from the airport I can't use Sunray to get to universal?

We just used Sunray for our trip from the airport to the port and then to WL and then back to the airport. They were excellent and on time every trip. Glad they use the large suv's because we had 6 large pieces of luggage for the 3 of us! We will definately use them again for our next trip.

Just another poster recommending Sunray. Friendly, professional service, clean vehicles, we would rather use them than free ME.

What type of SUV do they drive? If four people ride, is there room for all 4 in the back, or does one ride up front?

I saw that also. It would lead you to believe that they will only book rides to the other parks from WDW if you have already used them to get to WDW from the airport.
If anyone knows otherwise, please let us know.

Another vote for SunRay! I have them booked for my 2 upcoming trips.

And, I just looked at my notes. I rode in a Yukon XL when Sunray picked me up from the Portofino Bay Hotel and took me over to Pop.

We're looking for transportation for the 8 of us going end of September..I'll have to check into this company too! :) We're splitting up one of the days as me, DH and DD have hade tickets to SeaWorld for 2 years and this time we ARE going :rotfl: We'll need transportation from Bonnet Creek to SW, we're not renting any van and we're staying off property for the first time...which will be interesting ;) and very different

I just heard back from bob at sunray. He said you have to use them to and from the airport or they will not do an attraction transfer. :sad2: Oh well does anyone have any other suggestions as we are using ME and I can't see coughing up another 90 bucks.

Do you have the direct website for Sunray? Sounds great.
Thanks!

That is a bummer.

Perhaps you can consider what you would save with the grocery stop that is included in the airport transportation. My thought has always been that ME was Disney's way of saying we are eating too many meals in our rooms, or getting too much bottled water and soft drinks--not to mention some of the harder ones! I think the cereal, pop tarts, PB&J, bottled water, soda, chips and beer we pick up at our grocery stop save us a lot of $$.

You have only so many choices...
1. Mears
2. towncar for about $60+tip
3. rent a car

There are many good towncar companies in the Orlando area. You will find negative reports about just about every one of them. For the most part, they are all very good, with mostly happy customers.

You can't go wrong with Sunray. We've used them several times now w/o problems.
