My husband really wants to ride TOT,but after he read the Guidemap,he's not to sure. It reads continous 10 minute hotel stays or something like that. I think he's a little scared now.:scared1: Does it mean you actually get dropped over and over for 10 minutes. Boy that sure does seem like a long time! So about how many times do you get dropped? Thanks

DO NOT MISS TOT. This is a must see. Could be the BEST ride at WDW. It is certainly in the top 5.

They have changed recently how the elevator drops so it is random. They will drop you part way, take you back up, drop you a little further, take you up, and so on. You are sitting with a lap bar across you waist and you can feel yourself come up off the seat.

The dropping part is maybe 1 minute. The rest of the ride leading up to and including the drop about 10 minutes.

We have been known to ride this 4 or 5 times in a row if the lines aren't long. You will love it. Also, Don't miss Rock N Rollercoaster!!:jester: :jester:

It's a wonderful ride, my absolute favorite. But be aware that half of it is down for refurbishment right now, resulting in very long lines (we were there earlier this week). I recommend visiting it first thing in the morning, and/or with a FastPass. Have fun!!

This is my favorite ride. Both my DDs (10 and 6) love it because they "catch air" on the drops!! I don't come out of my seat as much as they do, I wonder why....????

This is a MUST NOT miss ride for me. My DH won't go, so he can sit with the kids while I get my thrills out of losing my tummy. A beer or two before the ride and WOW....how exciting.

tot is fun and no you do not get dropped for ten mins. youget dropped about 6-8 times . tell your husband dont worry im only ten and i like it

5th time going to wdw dec. 26

I had a phone call from my mother who is in WDW at the moment yesterday - she told me I'd be so proud of her as she went on TOT three times in a row - then 'ran' to the Rock n Roller coaster and did that four times. My mother 'hates' rides - until now. She wanted to know where this Hulk coaster everyone was talking about was - okay so she's only 55 not 92, but if it can convert her, I don't think he'll have anything to worry about.

I am one of the biggest wimps when it comes to rides and I've survived Tower of Terror three times now. Here's the secret - just scream during the drops, it works for me :p
