so im going to disney in a week and a couple days and my friend want me to go on tower of terror. i keep going back and forth on if i will ride it or no. i HATE the feeling of free falling:scared1: but have seen kids way younger come off it. i want to though becasue it is my favorite movie what should i do. is it really that bad?

you are strapped down pretty well, and there is something over your head, so it doesnt feel like you are going to flip out of the cart. also, sometimes its that your feet dont touch the ground, but your feet are firmly planted on the cart bottom.

it is one of my favorite rides ever.

You have a lap belt, so you don't really lift off the seat (unless you do what I do and keep it a little loose so I can get some airtime haha) and there are also handle bars between each seat that you can grab onto. It's a great ride, I think everyone should try it atleast once.

You're straped in pretty well, you have a lap belt so you don't lift off of the seat, and two handle bars. It really isn't that bad, I personally love the ride, and I think that ride was the one that got me over my fear of free falling. It's a really cool ride, and I think you should try it, because I think you'd regret it if you didn't try it. You never know, you might just end up liking it after all.

The ride is really nothing its the line that is scary. Well the beginning of the ride is scary but the free-fall really is nothing bad. Just make sure you make a funny face when the picture is taken. It makes it 10x's better.

The ride is not that scary. Like others have said you are strapped in very well with a lap belt and the drops go so quickly. I think you will do just fine with the ride.

::yes:: The line and the beginning part of the ride are the worst because you know the drop is coming. But the drop isn't bad at all!! And the actual dropping part of the ride isn't long at all. MAYBE 30 seconds of dropping.

ive never been on the tower of terror cause im a scardy cat.
but i know that you should make sure your seat belt is tight.
cause my friend showed me a picture of when he was on it and he was in mid air in it, because the seat belt was not tight enough. ha ha. :)

what is so scary about the line. because i know i am going trough the line because i just wanna see the hotel but i might just go out the exit. so how is the line scary?

It just looks very old...like the Haunted Mansion. And the Cast Members act creepy just like the Haunted Mansion. But no reason to leave the line. Why would they build a ride that would hurt you?

It's not scary, just kinda creepy. The scary part is nerves about going on the ride, but if you aren't going on the ride, then it's not scary at all.

Well i was very small when i went on it and it did scare me but it was also one of the best rides i went on on that holiday!

Tower of Terror is basically my favorite ride. I used to hate it, but that's because I only rode it once in DL, then was like "never doing THAT again!" Then I rode it in WDW tons of times, and I didn't hate it anymore. I got used to it.

Also, like previous posters said, it's not that scary. If it were a normal, not themed free fall ride like the Maliboomer at DL or something else like that, it probably wouldn't be as creepy. But it's all the theming that Tower of Terror does that makes it like that. When you're on line or even in the ride vehicle, it's creepy theming. But it's still a great ride, and so fun to just be like "I did it!!" in the end. You should totally go on it :)

TOT is a lot of fun. It's not that bad at all.

I say go for it ,I was scared the first time and now I love it sooo much I was even worried about rocking rollercoaster IDK why I guess cuz it was in the dark but I rode both rides and loved it I say ride it once and then if you don't like you don't have to ride again but I don't think that will happen:goodvibes

I got my mom to ride rockin rollercoaster and she hates rollercoasters and she rode it like 12 times :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Everyone's different. Some people think it's really scary and some think that it's nothing big. That's why you can't really go with other people's opinions on the scare factor. If you really don't like free falling...Tower of Terror is almost ALL free falling.
I see so many people in the queue that are nervous, afraid, and concerned about riding and I think to myself...if you're so scared, why are you riding?

So, really. Watch a couple of Youtube videos of the ride and see what you think. If you're pretty sure you can handle it, then go for it. The free-falling part isn't that long..but if you don't like it, you'll be fine with the fact that you rode it and know what it was like. :)

I like Tower of Terror, it's the only "giant drop" ride I go on. The theming and the way they build it up is awesome. My friend went with us to WDW this year and he hatedit . He said he'll never go on it again.

I have done it once in my life and that was more than enough for me. On the first drop my lap belt came undone so I was pretty much flailing around during the whole thing. I've been terrified of it every since.

I personally do not like that feeling but, hey, go for it.
