hi not sure if this has been posted but my brother was at DLRP yesterday (mon) and rode the TOT he said it was fantastic and had 3 goes!! don't know if it was open all day but what a great xmas treat

just to add he isn't a DP or FP holder just a one day hopper ticket and him and his gf rode it

wooo hoooo thank you!!!!!!!! Can't wait to try this!!

I booked my trip for January yesterday and the castmember on the phone told me, that ToT is already open for normal guests. It is not officially announced, but an open secret :rolleyes1

Thats great news.:thumbsup2 Although it does make me wonder why Disney are bothering with the shareholders preview in January when the ride is already open:confused3

I don't know. Maybe they are going to close it again for the public. Maybe it's only open during weekdays. Maybe shareholders get a special treat:confused3
But I really had a nice chat with this castmember.
She even told me about the "chicken exit", cause I told her I'm not that fond of riding ToT. She said I have to go inside and take a look around. It must be awesome. And before it comes to the ride itself, I can use the "chicken exit" as she did. :lmao:

Good idea! May help me wind the wife up as she knows I won't go on it. I could pretend to be all up for it, then sneak out at the end!

Woooo i cant wait to ride this next month, prob by myself as my mum and dad will have a heart attack if they go on it lol

*Fingers crossed* that we might get to try it out next week, it would be so exciting for my daughter if we were able to do it on her b/day!

Our first time @ DLP was last August when the foundations were laid and some building work going on and then again this August when the building looked almost complete ... now, who knows, we might get to ride it before going again next summer :cheer2:

Can anyone who has visited DLRP this week confirm whether TOT is open each day please &, if so, whether it is open throughout the day?

We have read on other sites that TOT is just being opened on a random basis for 'soft runs' (i.e. to test the ride, staff etc).

We are off (again) to DLRP next week and would really love to hit this ride as it is one of our favourites.

Any info would be great. Thanks:idea:

Welcome to The DIS!!!

It was only open to Dream AP holders, Shareholders and they also did a few soft runs for the general public. The ride is expected to open properly on the 22nd of December.

Yeah i saw some people with special passes going on it a few days ago when i was there, i think it was on Wednesday. My mam saw the lift drop too and i was confused because i didnt think it opened till next year. Maybes they are just previewing it at the moment?

Hi TOT CREW and welcome to DLP DIS board :wave2:
We are a friendly bunch here so please join in on any other thread or if you have a number of questions then just start a new thread for each :goodvibes

If you have not had a look yet, DLP posting rules are here, DIS posting guidelines can be found here.

Received my email from Shareholder's club to event on 12th January, although we'll not be able to make it :)

Has anyone actually been on this ride yet?

DD is mad to go on when we next visit, which will be 26th - 28th December (though she doesn't know that), but I'm a scaredy cat and BTM was almost too much for me!

I'd like to know how bad it is, though if there are chicken exits then I guess I could at least experience the ride without that part... :scared1:

Hi all,

Just got back from dlp yesterday. What a fantastic break we had. will hopefully do a trip report soon.

TOT or ( the hollywood hotel) is not officially open yet. They are doing previews for dream annual pass holders by invitation only. However, if there are not enough pass holders to fill the ride they open the ride to anyone in the park from 12pm onwards. So it really depends how busy the parks are.

We were very fortunate that this weekend gone was not very busy and were able to ride.

Wish someone had warned me what the ride entails. I WILL NOT RIDE THIS RIDE AGAIN  . MY 5 YEAR OLD DS AND DH LOVED IT :rotfl2: BUT MY DD AND MYSELF HAVE NEVER SCREAMED SO MUCH.:scared: :scared:

SO BE WARNED RIDE AT YOUR OWN PERIL :thumbsup2
