Trying to plan out a visit for my brother in law, wife, and two kids. We are not sure if it's possible to ride Tower of Terror after watching a show of Fantasmic. We are making sure Fantasmic happens, but might have planned the rest of the day away without doing Tower, so wondering if we can do it after

It would depend on park closing time. If Fantasmic ends and there is still time until official park close, yes you can ride it. CMs generally allow people to get in line up to park closing (or 1 minute before official park closing.) As long as you are physically in the line before that, the ride will stay operational to get everyone through. If it is a Fantasmic that ends AFTER park close, they will not allow you to get in line.

Just be aware that they exit you from Fantasmic all the way out to the park entrance. It is a long hike back to ToT going against the flow of exiting visitors. And if you are going to try that, you should attempt to sit on the right side in Fantasmic to be able to exit as quickly as possible.

Best bet: Watch Fantasmic from the very back, and slip out the back right before it ends.

There is more than one exit from Fantasmic. More often than not, guests exit onto Sunset Blvd.

I was looking constantly all the way out for any opportunity to exit sooner but they had what appeared to be exits all blocked with ropes and CMs forcing everyone out the one exit. Maybe it was a fluke or maybe I missed the other exits. But we had multiple people looking because we were heading to RnRC.

Depends when you go. When I am going in April park closes at 9 and Fantasmic is at 9... so then no. And when I was there in December they made us go out to the park entrance

Two shows? We did this a few weeks ago. Went to the 8:00 show. Because there was a second show they forced everyone out the one way. Then we could go left to exit park or right to go on Sunset Blvd. We turned right and went straight to Tower of Terror. Folks were still getting in line because it wasn't 9 pm yet. Note the line was very full so it was a wait.

As of April 2 they are showing only one show. but as with anything Disney that could easily change

If there are two performances of Fantasmic that night go to the late show. The vast majority of guests go to the early show with many lining up an hour or so before showtime. This is the very best time of the day to get multiple rerides on the headliners with little to no wait.

A few years back, we were able to ride Tower 13 times in just about 2 hours while waiting for the late showing of Fantasmic. Quite often it is scheduled a half hour after the park closing time. Back then they would keep the Tower gates open 10-15 minutes after the published closing time just to accommodate a few late riders.

You can make a full loop through the Tower in 10 to 12 minutes, which would give us just enough time to make it in to the amphitheater before showtime.

I’ve very rarely seen it much more than half full for the late show, and the two outer sections on each side are often closed.
