Tower of Terror - 4 Year Old

We will let DS ride ToT the moment he is tall enough. I have no worries whatsoever that he will be scared (or injured). Then again, I know my son well and he would jump off a cliff if we let him. FEARLESS!
You know your children's personalities best and if you think they might be frightened :bitelip: , hold off for a while longer! :)

My 34 year old DH refuses to get back on it. :rotfl: My 4 year old however "might" like it but we won't test that one just yet. Give him another couple of years to go on it with Mommy.

My son went in March. He had just turned 4 in January. I explained the entire ride to him and asked him if it was something he felt like trying. He was sure it was. I sat with him and talked to him while the ride was going on, but when we dropped he went pail white and didn't move or make a sound. He made it of course and was safe, but when we go again in October he has made it very clear TOT will not be on his to-do list!

Just got back and rode it for the first time with ds11 and dd7. I made myself do it and actually liked it! The kids, on the other hand, said that once was enough! :)

My youngest LOVED Splash Mountain and rode it 2x without a problem - her first time ever was in the front seat. When we were on it for the third time (which she BEGGED us to go on) right before we got to the big drop she turned to me with such fear and panic on her face and was crying - "I don't want to go on this!" What could I do??? She was with her big brother so he put his arms around her and held her while going down the drop - and now she says she never wants to go on it again! So hard to tell what the kids will do sometimes!

And a word of caution....if your child decides at the last minute to NOT ride, the way out is on an elevator - make sure they know it is not the ride! The trip before this one DH rode it for the first time and the kids and I wanted to see the pre-show so we tagged along until the end where we could exit. There was this little boy who was TERRIFIED about going on the exit elevator as he thought it was the ride!

I know of one tiny girl who rode and smiled the whole time. We have a picture of all of us on ToT and a little 3 or 4 year old is having the time of her life while I'm screaming for mine! My kids love that pic.

I personally wouldn't let a four year old on TOT. Not because I'd be worried they'd get hurt, but because I'd be worried they would freak out. :earseek:
