In Dec. we were on the left wing when you get off the elevator and then on the right hand side of the hallway [ last room on that side of the hall] - no lake or pool view but great views of Disney - Typhoon Lagoon, Tower of Terror, Epcot Ball, Pops Century Resort, Caribbean Beach Resort, Swan & Dolphin, and DTD. At night we could see MK fireworks, Epcot Fireworks plus the music, etc. It was a great location to view those things.
I just returned from WBC and this time we were on the right wing - very last room on the right which was the opposite side of the building. However, because of the way the building is placed this time we could see the lake and swimming pool but also fireworks from MK DHS. Partial view of Epcot fireworks.
So to answer your question you can see that it just depends on the location of the room in building 6.You could see some fireworks even though they were on opposite ends of the building and opposite sides. So maybe the thing to say is you don't like to listen to a lot of traffic on the hallways and could you please have the last room at the end of the hall.
Since we could see from our room we did not bother to visit the fireworks lounge in building 6.
If you will have a car, be sure and get a card to enter the hotel parking garage - it is free for WBC folks in the timeshare building 6 and can be reached from inside the building. Really nice if it is raining when you are trying to load up.
