Towels in units

The search function has been disabled. I was just wondering: I thought I saw somewhere that you get 4 sets of towels in the units? We have 7 people in a 2 br (which does sleep 8), so do I need to request extra towels and have to pay for them? It's not a big deal, but I would think that you would get at least as many towel sets for as many guests that are staying in one unit.
And if I do have to request additional sets, would I have to do the same on T & T day? (or do they not remove the towels?).

TIA
Sheri

You get four sets of towels per bathroom so you'll have 8 sets. If you purchase an additional set, I think they are replenshed on T&T day but I'm not 100% certain on that one.

You should get 8 sets like PAM said--just thrown them in the wash when you leave and then dry them when you come back. You will have plenty of towels. There is a washer and dryer in the 2 bedroom, my guess you already knew that.

I have always made my reservations for the maximum number of people allowed in the room even if only my wife and I were in our party. I always figured I would get more towels. Am I right or wrong? Since the points are the same I figured it couldn't hurt!

Thanks, guys. I was hoping it was 4 sets per bathroom, but wasn't sure. Maybe I was thinking only 4 because of a 1 br post or list that I read somewhere. I have no problem keeping up with the wash; in fact, it will be easier with the washer/dryer in the unit. I always made time to do laundry when staying in a moderate or even off-site, so being able to do it in the room will be like heaven (well, not really, but it will be extremely convenient)!

You shouldn't have to make your reservation for the max number of people. We have always received 4 sets in a 1-bedroom and 8 in a 2-bedroom. And we have never had more than 2 in a 1-bedroom or 4 in a 2-bedroom.

Regardless of the number on the reservation, you will get 4 sets of towels per bathroom- no more, no less. (If you do have fewer than 4, you should call housekeeping when you get to the room.)

We usually have two in a 1BR and have always had 4 sets of towels available to use. (2 sets in the bathroom area and 2 sets in the jacuzzi area.)

Enjoy!

Anytime I've had a reservation for 2 in a 1 bedroom we still got the 4 sets. I don't think they know how many are checking in when they clean the room.

One thing I do is if I have washed towels and there are any clean ones left on trash & towel day is leave the clean ones on the dryer, housekeeping will not pick them up, they'll still leave 4 clean sets and you'll have more for the rest of the stay.

Couldn't you "borrow" pool towels and return them the next day if you really ran out? I mean, who wants to be doing extra wash on their vacation anyway? Speaking from a woman's perspective.

When we have been at BWV we have requested an extra towel pack and have never been charged for it. The guy at the front desk said 9 times out of 10 housekeeping does not put it on charges. But I agree that if you throw them in the washer before you leave or already have them washed and throw them in dryer that works great.

Nope, pool towels are for the pool and are specially washed, so I am told. By the time you walk to the pool to get the towels, you could have loaded the washer or dryer.
It is no big deal to toss towels into the washer, throw in some detergent and turn the machine on. It is also not a big deal to toss them into the dryer and turn the dryer on. Both machines do the work. This is from a woman's perspective also.

If everyone took pool towels the pools would run out of towels!! Like I and many others have said it is a simple task to throw the towels in the wash and dryer and by the way how did this become a womans thing to do??

Got me, Dee does the laundry most of the time here and he is definitely NOT female.

Do the Villas receive daily maid service? I will be staying in a studio BWV in November...could someone explain the towels to me? What is T&T day? Will my room be cleaned daily?

If your reservation was made thru CRO or WDTC as a cash reservation, you will have daily housekeeping. If it was made using DVC points, you will get limited housekeeping service on day 4 (unless your stay is 8 days or longer- the schedule then is a little different). T/T means you will get fresh towels, basic supplies will be replenished and the trash emptied. Full cleanings (stays of 8 days or more) will get frsh linens, vacuuming, etc.

Those staying on points can always get daily housekeeping, if desired, for an additional fee ($25 for a Studio) and extra towels are available for $6 for a set of 4. The reasons for the fees are to limit maintenance fee costs for members, but those who need/desire extra services can always get the additional for a fee.

Enjoy!

Well, at my house if the man did it, everything would eventually turn gray.
That's OK though, because if the woman did the cooking, we'd eat macaroni and cheese every night. :)
