I read something about a rope being in dvc rooms. Is this true do they provide a robe in the dvc villas? What kind of towels do they provide, are they bigger than the value? What type of tolities do they provide with the villas?

They don't provide a robe in a DVC villa (or a rope! ;)). The towels and toiletries are the same as any other resort.

The robe is only in the AKV Concierge room.

On the towels, I have never stayed at a value so I can't comment. To me they seemed like basic hotel towels.

I think that the tolitries were the H2O ones. For the villas, I believe that it was shampoo, conditioner, plus bar soap for the sink and shower. I don't remember there being any lotion etc.

Trust me, I was interested in this, also. Having just stayed at Pop for a week, then visiting restaurants in the Poly, GF, and CR while dining, there was a difference in the toilet paper. Laugh if you wish, I found it funny, too. You have to pay for better tp! I wondered if DVC fell into the value or deluxe tp category myself!

As for towels at a value, can you say sandpaper??? We did occasionally get a soft one thrown in, and laughed that we had someone from the Poly's towel! When we were on our Wishes cruise, they had great ribbed towels on the boat, they were very nice!

I don't recall the towels being bigger, maybe a little, just as the quality is a little bit better. The tolietries are the basics but differ in that you get seperate shampoo and conditioner in bottles instead of the all in one shampoo and conditioner.

Im such a sucker! I sitting here thinking why would a hotel give you a rope!!!:rotfl::rotfl2::rotfl::rotfl2:

I think they upgraded to towels a couple of years ago and they were nice and thick and soft etc. However if you have ever seen how they do the laundry it could be they are thinner and not so soft by now. (It was part of a tour we took) They did say that there were different towels at different levels of resorts at that time. If you are in a one bedroom or above you can wash them and put some softener in yourself whcih should help since you will have a washer/dryer in the room.

Neither BCV nor SSR had the special deluxe bedding or linens that they advertise in the room. Except for the washcloths. They were the more plush type. We were at both in May and June.
