if you get a room for 8 they only give you 8 of each right ?? what happens if you need/want extra towels can you go to guest services and receive more??

You won't get fresh towels each day. I believe they replace them every 4 days. You have 2 options: Pay extra money to have the daily cleaning service or go to the swimming pool and grab a handful of towels to use in your room. When we joined DVC, our guide actually told us that a lot of members stock up on towels from the swimming pool. We have done so every trip and no one has ever said anything to us or complained.

extra towel packs (4 bath, 2 hand, 4 washcloths & a mat) are $6, i believe.

I really don't think they want you to take them from the pool. We just threw a towel wash in when we went to the parks.

In a two bedroom villa, you will have eight bath towels, four hand towels and eight face cloths when you check in. They will be replaced on day 4, day 8, etc.

You really aren't supposed to take the pool towels and use them in your room. If you have one that you wrapped the kids up in to get back to the room, you really should return it on your next trip to the pool.

DVC is a pay as you go system. If you need more of what you have in your villa, you need to pay for additional. Except for paper towels, toilet paper, garbage bags, dish soap. This is a means to keep member fees low.

In a 2 bedroom villa you will have a washer and dryer, and you wont need daily fresh towels. If you DO need, them you can wash and dry them in your unit.

Well, 6.00 isn't a bad price for extras. Nice to know. I"m so excited to take my first trip! I've been so addicted to these boards since we purchased I think it will just make my trip seem so much farther away!!!

no problem washing towels but do i need to bring detergent or do they give you enough to do wash several times during the week???

We just use dish soap.....

Just kidding... wouldn't that be a bubbly mess :rotfl:

Typically, they give you a couple of Tide sample boxes. The rest is up to you. You can bring or buy your own or you can go the one of the laundry rooms for studio stayers and they have packs of detergent in a vending machine.

You'll get one single use box of Tide when you check in and again on Day 4 when they swap out your towels and pick up the trash. We always bring our own, plus some dryer sheets.

It is a bubbly mess.

On our second date, hubby (of course, he was not then my hubby) put dish soap in the dish washer after he cooked a fantastic meal for me (I think I distracted him with my presence). Oh you should have seen the bubbles. :scared1: The poor dog freaked out so much that he would not stop barking at the bubbles coming across the floor and it was days before he would come back in the kitchen. :lmao: That was 15 years ago and we still have the pup (he is almost 17 now).

Thanks for making me remember that night.
