I was telling someone about how my daughter destroyed our towel animal last time we were at Disney. I wanted to keep them in the window, but she insisted on tearing them apart and using them for bathtime! My friend then replied "That's a shame, you know you can bring those home!" I don't think that sounds right though, surely Disney isn't ok with every guest taking off with their wash cloths are they?! :confused3

Yes, I believe they are. :goodvibes We haven't gotten any in our rooms (POP) lately, however, over at POFQ a few years ago they were demonstrating how to make one of your own. My DD did a few and brought them home and gave them to some friends as souvenirs. I believe they expect you to take them.

Thank you. That is so interesting, I never would have just thought it was ok to take those. (Didn't matter for me anyway since ours were destroyed!) Lol! Maybe this year we can bring one home, it'd be a neat keepsake!

Our first trip, we left them there. our middle 2 trips, at the WL, we got them every day, but didn't bring any home till the 2nd year. Our last trip (Aug "07), we only got 2 in 10 days and brought them both home. :thumbsup2

JMHO,but I do not think it is acceptable to just "take them".Is it acceptable to take home a bunch of plain resort towels?No.BUT,sometimes Mousekeeping will TELL the Guests to take them home.:) I also think it is perfectly proper to call the Front Desk of your Resort and ASK if you can take them home.I am sure they will probably say yes.:) I just think that is the correct way to do it.:)

I agree! We always ask, because taking them without asking is like stealing, and we don't want to teach our children that stealing is acceptable

In past trips, we never took them home until our last trip in March. They were so cute that I let my DD pick 2 to take home. We didn't take all of them, just a couple as a souvenir.:)

We were lucky enough to get them EVERY day of our last trip to POR. My kids ripped them apart every day. Finally, I hid one to bring home, and they got that as soon as we got home.
<sigh>
Now that we are DVC, we probably won't get anymore.
