I'm making a solo trip to WDW in May and would like to do a couple of tours. I know I want to do the Around the World @ Epcot (Sedgeway) Tour and would like to do one at the Magic Kingdom. The Backstage Magic tour is 7 hours long and $199.00 and the Keys to the Kingdom is 4 1/2-5 hours long and $58.00. Is the Backstage Magic tour worth $141.00 more and taking 7 hours out of my day? Has anyone done both? If so which one did you prefer and why? Thanks!

DW & I have done both the BM & KttK tours. We actually liked both tours. BM is different because you go to three parks - MK, Epcot, & MGM. And while the KttK tour covered some of the same things as BM, we learned new things and went to one or two different areas.

If I had to choose based on content, I would choose BM. It was well worth the $. If time is the issue, then KttK will work, and you can always do BM on a future trip.

Good Luck on your decision, and have a magical time!

For us the Backstage Magic tour was the best! The information and getting a look backstage at three parks was just wonderful! And even though it seems expensive @$199, it actually works out to be a pretty good bargain. BM is the only tour that does not require park admission and it includes a full lunch at Mama Melrose and you get to spend a full day in the parks, with transportation provided by a luxury coach bus. Plus you will get free bottles of water and a commemorative trading pin. The other tours are half the time or less, you must pay a day's park admission on top of the tour cost and you don't get a meal included.

We did the Behind the Seeds tour at the land, and it was about and hour, and I think it was around $10. It was really interesting because they showed you how to have hydroponic plants in your home among other things. This was only a little time out of your day, and much less expensive than the other tours, but if it's not something you're interested in, or if the Land is still closed when you're down there, it wouldn't work for you.
