I am going in june. my husband and I would like to do a tour but not sure which ones are good ones. Anyone have any good suggestions?

Either one of the Segway Tours. We love the one at Epcot however, the one at Fort Wilderness looks exciting.:cool2:

We have also done the Keys to the Kingdom. And while it was a good tour it wasn't as informative as I would have hoped and after the long day I was really tired. (We went in September and the weather was warm)

The segway tour at Epcot is great! you get to see the World before it opens as-well as learn to drive a segway. Our gang last fall are still talking about how it was their favorite thing they have ever done at Disney.

It is a long tour (most of the day) but I really enjoyed the backstage magic....it was great to see the "behind the scenes" of WDW! :thumbsup2

Another vote for a Segway Tour...

I've done the Segway tour at Epcot and it truly awesome. It was so much fun I just booked the wilderness backtrail adventure (segway) for our next trip.

Our all time favorite is the Backstage Magic tour that takes 8 hours and visits 3 of the 4 parks. Second is the Wilderness Trail Segway, and then the Epcot Segway tour. We always try to do "Behind the Seeds" each trip too. I would love to do the Gardens of the World one some day, but haven't done that one yet.

Now in a catagory all by themselves are the safaris!!! We did the Sunrise and Sunset Safaris at AKV this month, and they were spectacular!!!

We LOVED the Living Seas Aqua Tour at Epcot. They train you in scuba equipment (very easy, since they also strap floats on you that keep you up on the surface) and you paddle around for an hour at the top of the tank looking down at the sea creatures. You get nuzzled by rays and bumped by the occasional tortoise. Sounds scary if you've never done this sort of thing, but turns out to be easy, ravishing and tranquil.

The "Magic Behind our Steam Trains" is not to be missed if you have any interest in trains or Walt Disney history.
After a train ride backstage to the round house and getting to step into the cab of a locomotive you ride back to the main street station and a cast member will talk about Walt's love of trains and where all the Disney World trains came from.

Keys to the Kingdom is hands down the best tour we've done. our second most favorite was the backstage safari at AK.

KTTK is about $70 per person, I think and AK backstage safari was around $60. There is a 15% discount for DVC members and if you have a Disney Visa the discount is 20% the acutal prices are listed under the "tour" section of each park on WDW main website.

How much are some of these tours? and how long are they?

They all vary in length and cost. I think that the backstage magic is the longest (about 6-7 hrs) and doesn't require any type of park admission (starts and ends outside of Epcot). It was about $300 (we used the Disney Rewards discount for 20% off). Not sure about all the other costs....some of the tours also require park admission, like keys to the kingdom.

The all day Backstage Magic is pricey. Not sure what it is these days. The last time we did it was about 4 years ago, and I know it was more than $200/person then. There are discounts from DVC and APs for the Segway tours, and I think they were around $75 (can't remember, since DH booked those). The Sunset Safari was $160 for DVC members staying concierge at AKV and I think $220 for others. The Sunrise was $55 for DVC members at concierge, and I think $60 for everyone else.

we did the Backstage Magic tour a couple of summers ago and absolutely loved it...we saw SO many places that guests don't normally have the chance to see - including the utilidors at MK. you start at epcot in the morning and travel backstage at epcot, DHS and MK. in addition, you visit several other disney facilities on property (like the christmas decorations storage warehouse).

if it may sway you one way or another, we got to go backstage and see how the American Adventure show at epcot worked...but i recently read that they're changing the backstage attraction on the tour to the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror at DHS!

While this is not a tour, there is a flower arranging session on Wed. It is in the Perks book. It alternates between BWV and SSR. I have no talent but thought it would be fun, and it was. Someone from Disney Florist comes in brings all the stuff and you get a nice arrangement.
