Hi

I have heard about disney's behind the scenes tours and was wondering if I should do one next year :confused3

Has anyone done one? If so did you find it fun and worth the money? Also how much are they?

Cheers everyone! :thumbsup2

I've done Keys to The Kingdom Tour - 4 times now (always with different people) and I think that's worth the money - it gives you a great insight into the Magic Kingdom

Segway Tour Around The World is great fun at Epcot

Animal Kingdom Backstage Safari is also really interesting you learn alot about what ther are doing to conserve species etc.

:sunny: Hi

We have only done the Segway tour but would highly recommend it. We had great fun and saw a diferent side of EPCOT. Can't remember the price sorry but you could find it on allears i'm sure.

Enjoy :goodvibes

The tours are good fun and vary in price. If you like Steam Trains then the magic behind our steam trains is excellent. If you want to see behind the magic then Keys to the Kingdom is super. If you have a whole day and lots of money then backstage magic is tremendous and takes you into strange stuff in more than one park. Wild by design at Animal Kingdom was a lot better than I expected.

Guest relations have a leaflet with a brief description of the tours. Prices range from $35 to $100 with the Backstage magic being almost double that I think. APs and DVC members get discounts and maybe some others like AA - definitely worth checking.

We usually try to do a new tour each trip. We even did the family magic tour last trip which is more of kids games than an actual tour but you do get some time with Peter Pan and Wendy at the end of it :rolleyes1

See pic below of our Segway Tour. We enjoyed it so much, we're doing it again in July. We paid $68pp after a 15% Disney Visa discount.

we've done the Segway around the world tour twice and loved it both times (and look forward to doing it again on our next visit). I think it was about $85 or so per person, with a 15% discount for AP holders. You have to be at least 16 years old for the Segway tour (and they check your ID if they're in doubt - my daughter, who was 21, was 'carded' - she was irate that they thought she was so young).

We've also done the Behind the Seeds tour in the Land pavilion in Epcot. It was only $12 and well worth it. You sign up for it at the information desk right next to the entrance to Soarin. They take you behind the scenes into the agricultural area of the pavilion. The girl who took us around was a research fellow there. She had recently graduated from some agricultural university. She was as cute and sweet as can be and we all enjoyed it. Even my daughter who was super angry before the tour began that she had to go with us. In the end she enjoyed it immensely.

When my kids were younger they went on special behind the scenes tours for teens, but i don't know if they still exist. Well for sure one doesn't exist since it took them to discovery island.

I can recommend the KTTK tour-if only for the utilidors! Actually thats wrong, it was all fantastic, we got on JC, POTC and HM, had lunch at Columbia Harbour House, got to go backstage, underground. Almost as good as working there.

Has anyone done the Chrimbo Tour? I'm thinking about that for my next trip (Dec 07 boo-hoo)

Chrimbo Tour? I haven't heard of that one. More info, please?

Another :thumbsup2 here for the tours. We have done the Keys to the Kingdom Tour three times and each time have enjoyed it. It is a fantastic way to get an insight into the Magic Kingdom.

We have also done the Segway Tour of Epcot. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it because Epcot is not my fav park.
