When do you get your first navigator? At check in at the Port or once in your stateroom?
YES. And I mean YES. You receive an "abrevieated" navigator when you check in at the port and then there is a more detailed (with additional items) navigator in your room. Both are useful, the one in the room is just more useful.
We have participated in many ship tours.
On
embarkation day there is a tour that helps you get oriented with the ship. You stay mostly on deck three (if my memory serves me).
There is the Adult series call the
Navigator Series. There are talks with the ships officers, a move on the making of the Magic and a walking tour of the ship covering "The Art of the Magic" (where they talk about Art Deco (Magic) vs. Art Nuevo (Wonder)). They are very interesting "classes".
The
Galley Tour is part of the adult series the Art of Entertaining. You don't have to go to any of the other "classes" to go on the galley tour (on a sea day after cleaning up from lunch and before working on dinner). This series also has cooking and Ice carving demonstrations, place setting, napkin and towel folding.
The
Art of Entertainment series has a class where you are in the Walt Disney Theater and many of the directors and technical people explain about the making of the shows and you get to go up on the stage and take a look around at the sets.
There is a
bridge tour on port days. I hope to take this in on the next cruise.
