TouringPlans Wait Times

We are going to DW for the first time this October. I paid for a subscription to Touring Plans. It seems awesome. My only question is about the wait times in my touring plan. It shows the estimated wait times for each ride but they all seem very low. Since I have never been, I have no personal experience but from what I've read from other sites it seems like TouringPlans is guessing too low and I wont be able to get through all the rides I have planned. Does anyone have any experience with this?

Thanks!

The one and only thing I use TouringPlans for is the crowd sourced wait times. It's nice to see how long someone who just went on the ride waited, as the MDE times aren't always right. I've found those times to be fairly accurate, with some exception.

The rest of TouringPlans stuff, however, is about as useful as a screen door on a submarine for me.

I also subscribe. I love the wait time feature. I make sure that I put in my actual wait time for every attraction we do. I appreciate the wait times others put in, and its my way to help others as they helped me.

We used it for a week in November, plans with 20-30 steps per day, and found the wait times to be eerily accurate. We weren't in the parks in the afternoons when I would imagine they would fluctuate most though.z4

you may want to do the plans again as you get closer to your date. this will enable the plans to include the changes disney makes as your date gets closer. i have used TP and they are pretty accurate unless you hit a wall like an attraction breaking down. then you just skip to next step.

I have also signed up for Touring plans.
I used them for dining reservations and so far it worked, I was able to get Be Our Guest and Sci-Fi.

I used Touring plans for my October 2015 and May 2017 trip. It was not perfect, and Disney kept making last minute changes to park hours. That being said, I still found it very useful to help plan. Also, get a good idea for everything that is available in each part of the park. I read every page of the unofficial guide to Disney as well. I also memorized the maps. This helped us make any last minute adjustments. Sometimes we just shook the touring plans altogether. However, the plans and the research really helped us determine when that was worth it. The more you know before you go, the more you will get done once you get there. To be honest, my husband really was the navigator and the one that kept us moving but we both did our homework.

I've been using TP's personalized plans and Lines app since their inception - both are FAR more accurate day-of, and amazingly accurate at that. You lose some accuracy the further out you're looking, but it gives a good base off which to plan. In my experience, 95% of teh time when MDE shows a different wait time than TP, TP is the correct time.

The key to using the plans on your park day is to Optimize when you enter the park. You gain even more accuracy if you click off attractions as you complete them and re-optimize later in the day.

We use it and do find it to be very accurate. If you are worried that the wait times are too short, adjust your walking speed to relaxed or slow on your plan. This will ensure that you have lots of time if one of the ride waits in your list ends up being longer than predicted...

Also, the reason the wait times seem so short is that Touring Plans specializes in making plans where you don't wait long. Line waits are longer for people who arrive late, don't follow a plan, and hit the headliners with no fastpass. The whole point of TP is to save you lots of time :)
