my daughter is going to DL/DCA for one day only, I added on DL to my touringplans subscription. However am I missed something and it's not able to plan a trip both parks on same day? TIA

You have to do a separate plan for each park. So you could do opening till noon at Disneyland and then noon till close at DCA.
