I have heard that certain parks are busier than others on certain days. I just wondered if anyone had a specific touring plan that they had tried. Thanks y'all.

Go to easywdw.com and look at the "cheat sheets" and crowd calendars.

I have started the planning and I am about to go hardcore now...I have used Touring Plans in the past do you think the one mentioned above is just as good?

Yes, Josh give you the rational on a day by day basis why a park is best or worst.

I see your a new poster, so :welcome:....

You're question is kinda hard. As an analogy, imagine going to a a car forum and asking, "I need a new car, any advice or suggestions?"

Alot depends on how many in your group, their age, their preference, where you are staying, when you are going, how early you like/want to arrive, etc.

There are sites like easy wdw and touring plans which offer guides as to what parks have the lightest and worst crowds and many people use them to plan details of their trip.

There will be 5/8 of us...still unsure of the final tally. We will be staying in a house offsite. The youngest in our group will be 13. I have always liked to be there when the ropes dropped... So everyone else will follow me. Lol

My two cents . . . I am a Touring Plans die-hard fan! When I 1st stumbled upon them in 2007 I was a bit concerned on how they had me jumping back n' forth around a park, but I quickly realized they knew what they were talking about. I would rather be walking to an attraction vs standing in a line for the same amount of time. Walking makes me feel like I'm "doing" something.

More to the point about crowd calendars - Yes, nice to know what people predict the crowds would be, but honestly, my vacation days are usually not flexible. I am at the mercy of the crowds regardless, so I tend not to worry so much about the crowds on a particular day, but instead focus on how to best navigate through those crowds. That is where I find touring plans wonderful! :yay: Yes, I've been to the parks many, many, times and could likely design my own plans, but I like the options TP offers and tweak them to my own trip.

Good Luck to you!

I'm am a huge fan too and just got a subscription to the website, even though I'm just going to one park one day this year (a Sunday in October). This is my 25th trip to Orlando too. They help me pick what rides I want to do with the ratings by age group, minimize time in lines, tell me when to get fast passes and when to use them without too much back tracking, have a fun phone app to see current wait times, and I use all these things. For the upcoming trip I got some great advice on where to view Illuminations and avoid the parking nightmare at the end of the day that will make the $12 investment to their website very worthwhile to me. I made one ADR for dinner and touring plans was a huge help on helping me decide on this too. I can't comment on other touring plan services, as I've never tried them. I am a touringplan.com fan big time though. Rope drop holiday time before using their plans was horrible. With their plans, I can even enjoy WDW at busy times like the holidays. I first bought the book in the early 2000s and now just subscribe to the website.
