Touring Plans Fax Room Request

I'm now three and a half for four with Touring Plans room request - the half being a room a couple of doors away from the room I requested.
I asked for a specific room for my recent stay at French Quarter. I landed at 6:30AM on Thursday (13th) and while on the DME I got a text that my room was ready. The exact room I requested ready before 7AM.

I'm so tempted to do this. I'm not a paying member of Touring plans, and this would probably be the only feature I'd use (I currently use the ADR finder, but you don't need to pay for that.)
My stay is only 3 nights (in early December) and there are several rooms in the section I want...

How far in advance do you tell Touringplans the room you want?

I agree. Why not just call in the request?

Have you called Disney before? If so, you'd know why. Calling them is a PITA

As soon as you book. They'll send the fax when they send the fax. When you fill it out doesn't matter.

They send the fax in 5 days before you arrive, according to the website.
