Hi,

I was just wondering if any one had used touring plans before. Did you think that the crowd calendar was accurate?

I just joined out of curiosity and was shocked to see how high the crowds are predicted to be in the first 2 weeks of November this year (I have been previously during this time and found it to be quite quiet!)

Thanks,

It's pretty accurate. We used it the first time back in 2006. We stuck out it the whole vacation expect for 1 day. It was DH's birthday and he really wanted to spend it at MK, which according the the touringplans website was a bad day to visit. It was spot on, that day was a whole lot busier than any of the days we'd been before.

Now I combine touringplans with TourGuideMike and work things out that way. If there are any discrepancies, I go with TGM as he seems more accurate, explains why it will be busy or calm and has a morning and afternoon schedule.

I have always used this one and it has always been very accurate. It is part of The Brits guide :thumbsup2

I believe the first two weeks of November have become increasingly busy due to "Jersey week". We was there this past October and many were saying how busy it will get as soon as Halloween passes.

As far as I understood it, the state of Jersey's school's now break off for the first week in November and families often extended their stay to cover the first two weeks.

Thanks every one... I'm not going to take the crowd calendar too seriously, but I will probably avoid Disney over the 'Jersey week' weekend!
Thanks Cinderella2006 for the link, I'm going to bookmark that straight away!
Fingers crossed it won't be too busy this year! x

I have never used these guides so cannot comment but have just read an interesting thread on another board.

The poster had paid for the busy day guides and done their plan - most days were down as a 6. These were then changed to a 9 so she started to panic and had to re-jig her plan. She is there at the moment and says that most rides are walk-ons or 5 minute waits!

I found it pretty accurate for our Jan 2008 trip - I would keep checking it though as it is subject to change, particulary at the moment as moer people are doing more last minute trips due to special offers etc which makes it difficult to predict.

I will also say we organised some of the advice and did fine :rotfl:
