If you are familiar with this park, would you mind sharing tips on how to have the most effective day at Legoland? We'll only be there one day and want to make sure to make the most of it, minimizing time in lines and seeing as much as we can. Thanks!

When we went in Oct 2008 the Land of Adventure was new, so we got there at opening and hustled back to the Lost Kingdom ride (sort of a Buzz Lightyear shooting ride -- very good) and then worked our way around the park clockwise. That gets many of the bigger rides out of the way at the beginning of the day. We got to the Pirates area early afternoon, if you want to play in the water play area this is the warmest (and busiest) time there.

I think I got the best information reading the reviews on TripAdvisor. Find the park in the Carlsbad forum and read what others have done. Legoland has several rides, but it's more about the theming and being unique from other parks.

I second starting at Land of Adventure. Then we went through counter clockwise. Going either direction from there would be fine. You really can see most of the park in one day even with small ones. Make sure to check out the offical site for height requirements before you go so you have an idea of what you even should be queuing up for!
