Touring plan even with EP Plus?

I read on this board recently that even with Express Pass Plus, some touring planning is helpful.

I was thinking that if we bought EP+s, then we wouldn't have to plan all that much. Just wander around the selected park of the day, and get on rides as we came across them. But maybe we need a bit of planning to make it easier to get around and enjoy as many of the attractions at the parks as possible?

We do intend to get to the parks early, and purchase our EP+ and then get on a popular ride like Spiderman before the lines get long. Then start using our EP+ when lines get over 20 minutes or so.

I suppose that maybe we should visit an attraction that doesn't have EP early? Would that be a good strategy?

Any strategies for those with EP+, general or specific, would be appreciated.

You still want to go early, and do the major rides first, because then you can use your EPs in the afternoon when the lines are really long. Plus you get front seat rides on the coasters if you go early.

Arrive at 8am, first to gate, Hulk (front row, back row), get an express pass from the machine using your park admission tickets with a return time of noon, Spiderman, Dr. Doom, then high tail it to Deuling Dragons and ride each coaster in the front. Continue to JPRA, Rip Saw Falls, then get something to eat. It will be about noon at this time and the park will be crowded. Use the EPs you got with your admission tickets to ride Hulk again. From here it's up to you where to go. I'd do attractions like Posidens Fury (use an EP from the book here), and the Sinbad Show to get out of the hot sun, then start all over using the rest of your EPs.

robvia....thanks for taking the time to share those tips! They sound like a pretty good plan to me.

I think we'll have a better crowd experience this year with the EP+, and will be able to concentrate on having fun vs. battling crowds! :cool1:
