We will be at DL the middle of Oct and planning to go on weekdays. My kids are wanting to do Jedi Training. Our plan is for my wife to sign then up first thing after we enter the park. While she is doing that I am going to get FP for Space Mountain then we will ride Star Tours then use our FP for Space Mountain. After that we will do the rest of Tomorrow Land then just start making our way up to IASW, Toon Town, back to Fantasyland then over to Adventure and Frontier Lands. Does this sound like an OK plan?

Sounds like a good plan to me! If there is early entry that day, I believe FP's for Space Mountain and Star Tours start being distributed 30 minutes before the park opens. But someone please confirm if that it correct.

FPs for the attractions are distributed when the park officially opens.
However, a few months ago I heard that the Jedi Academy sign ups start during Early Entry. Not sure, though.

I would make some slight changes to that plan.

- Whenever the park is going to officially open, be at the entrance 30 minutes before the park officially opens.
- No need to leave your wife. Head to Jedi Academy with your kids first. I would probably use the path near the Matterhorn, hugging the Nemo Submarines and toward the Autopia
- After you sign up, head to Fantasyland, ride Alice in Wonderland first, then the Matterhorn, then Casey Jr, Pinocchio, and Snow White. This should all take about an hour to hour and a half.
- Then get FP for Indiana Jones, ride Big Thunder, Haunted Mansion Holiday, Splash Mountain, and Pirates if you have time before the Indy FP, if not do Pirates after Indy. Grab FP for Space Mountain before you use the FP for Indiana Jones
- Lunch
- Now you can grab FP for Star Tours and Buzz at the same time. Use Fp for Space Mountain, then the Autopia, use FP for Buzz, then Small World (wasting time until you can use FP for Star Tours, then use FP for Star Tours, grab another FP for any FP attraction before you use the one for Star Tours.
- Then see things like Toontown, Jungle Cruise, Peter Pan, Tiki Room, etc..

Nothing really problematic jumps out at me about your plan; the only thing I'd check is to see if you'll be at DL on an EMH/MM. If you are going on a EMH/MM morning, then lines for some attractions in Tomorrowland and Fantasyland may be pretty lengthy when the park opens to everyone. If that's the case, then you might want to consider starting in Frontierland/Adventureland/NOS/Critter Country after signing up for Jedi Academy.
