When we visit in December we'd like to visit both the GF and Poly to see their Christmas decorations. I realize they are on the monorail, but where do I start? Do I have to park at the Ticket Center and then go on the monorail or can I park at the GF and take the mono from there to the Poly? There must be some sort of onsite parking for hotel guests, true? TIA

You can park at the resorts. Tell the guards at the shack that you would like to look around. They will usually give you a 3 hour parking pass. You can park at the any of the resorts and tour the monorail resorts.

If you are already at MK, you can take the monorail from there. It is one of the first things I do when I get down there. Don't forget about the CR too.

I'd park at the Poly (you'll be allowed to park for 3 hours), look around there, monorail over to GF, look around there, then walk back to the Poly from GF, as that is quicker than having to take the resort monorail loop all the way back around to the Poly.

I would park at Poly or CR. the self park at GF is way out, I think it is in GA:lmao: Also don't forget that WL gets tons of Christmas decorations & lot of people say it is the best of all resorts, so take the boat from CR to WL.

A suggestion.....

Don't miss the Wilderness Lodge....it is BEAUTIFUL at the holidays.

Just park in their Wildie parking lot and take one of the boat shuttles to the GF and Poly. This way, you can enjoy the Wildie and take advantage of a couple of boat rides as well.

If this doesn't work and you don't want to drive......take a bus to the MK and hop on the monorail to the Poly and GF.

While I agree that WL should not be missed if you wish to see holiday decorations, there is no boat that goes directly between WL and GF or Poly. To ride the boat, you'd need to boat from WL to MK and then board a boat from there to GF and/or Poly.

Thank you all for your suggestions. We will check out Cont the morning we leave as we are hoping to eat at CM this morning. We will also plan to tour WL one night when we go to WCC for dinner as well as look FW on our way to Chip and Dales Camp Fire. So a good plan is to park at Poly then monorail to GF and walk back to Poly? We then plan to go to the Boarwalk and the Beach and Yatch Club resorts. So we will drive from the Poly to Boardwalk Resort to park? Does this sound like a good idea? Do we need to see anything at the Swan or Dolphin? If we left at 9am could we be finished around 12 to have lunch at Beach and Cream? 3 hours enough to enjoy it all, don't want to be rushed! Anywhere else we should hit? Thanks!
