DH and I are renting points for a June stay at OKW. We want to tour the DVC facilities and talk with the reps about the program. Is this something we set up in advance or something we can set up when we get there? Has anyone done it before? How long did it take?

Thanks!

The DVC tour may be arranged at any of the kiosks located in all of the resorts, Theme Parks and DD. You can also call from your room to schedule. they will pick you up (and bring you back afterwards) and child care is provided (if you need it).

All of the tours are at SSR and will take about 90 minutes- but if you have time concerns, just let them know and they will work with your schedule. It is a fun tour.

As noted, you should also be aware that all resorts are available thru resale and you may be able to save a few $$$ using that route. regardless, I'd suggest taking the tour, as it is most informative , entertaining and very low key/low pressure.

Enjoy your trip!

The tours are minimum 90 minutes, depends on how many questions you have. Mine took 3 hours, but I'm a talker.

Setting up a tour is easy. There are kiosks everywhere. There will be someone in the lobby at check-in tha tcan help you. I would wait to you get there to make your reservation. They are extremely flexible in scheduling tours.

I agree with the above post, even if you don't buy thru DVC, go learn as much as you can. Ask Questions! They will take you thru Saratoga Springs for the tour, but you can still walk thru the Boardwalk Villas model too.

Sounds like you and I are going down the same path. I did contact the Timesahre Store and they sent me a nice package of information. I also have visited their Web site. On the Disney side I hooked with one of their guides (Gib) who has been extremely helpful. Gib sent me a beautiful book of all the DVC properties and it has a great interactive CD. I just got it yesterday so I'm still going through it all. If you haven't received one of these books yet I recommend you ask for one. Also, just like planning other parts of your park visit I recommend making your appointment before you leave. But that's a personal decision that you need to make for yourself.
