Anyone subscribe to TourGuideMike.com ??

Is it worth the $21.95 ?

Do you get more info or personal planning tips you can't get from the other resouces like the DIS, allears, passporter, unofficiall and birnbaums?

Have you had good experiences?

Thanks for your input as usual...

You may want to do a search on TourGuideMike. There have been countless posts that should answer your question. :)

I'm a part of Tour Guide Mike, it is awesome. If you follow his suggestions, you shorten you wait times greatly. I would definetly suggest it. :worship:

I just joined TGM in June and I really like it! Most of the items I knew about ahead of time, but I have learned some new tricks that are well worth my money :) I love the vacation articles that he has over there...I have printed most of them out and I read through them and mark them up at work. They also have a forum over there that you can ask questions on (not as active as the Dis though!). Give it it a try it is another tool that you can use to make your trip more enjoyable and if you are not satisfied he will refund your purchase price.

Here is a coupon you can use as well for $3.00 off

In a word, yes.

I was amazed at how well his advice worked for us last summer. I couldn't believe with the crowds we had that we never waited more than 10 minutes for any ride! We renewed for this year too and love the constant updates and the fact that he's in the parks every single day. He definitely has info and strategies that I've never seen on other sites (and I research them ALL).

If you go to the AVP Preview Tour at http://tourguidemike.com/tour/index.asp, and type "HE7KD-8GA" in the Promotional Code section of the purchase page, you'll save $3 off the normal purchase price of $21.95!

Yes, he's worth it!

Don't tell him this, but I'd pay double that price to use the website :teeth:

Am I correct in uderstanding the cost (21.95) is for each individual trip? do you lose access after your trip dates pass?
So If i am taking 2 trips in one year, I can only plan one of them?

Thanks for the possitive feedback so far!

NandP --

I renew my TGM every year and use it for all the trips I take that year. For example... we take our family Christmas trip every year and that happens to be my "renewal" time. For the other 2-3 trips we make before that I go ahead and access the site for information and answers for those trips too. Does that help?

It's definately worth it. I will definately subscribe again when planning a trip to WDW.

We were in the parks from May 27-June 5 (which included Memorial Day weekend). The longest wait for a ride we had was 17 minutes (for a non-Fast Pass attraction.) YES, TGM works.

BUT, you have to be willing to put some time into it. You don't pay your money and get a personalized touring plan. You read articles, look at his sample plans, then figure out what will work the best for your group.

I used the Unofficial Guide plans at Disneyland and they worked well. But TGM gives you the WHYs of what you're doing, so that you can make intelligent decisions of what to do when. If you know WHY you're doing what you're doing, you're more prepared for the little unexpected things that can happen.

Using TGM, I kind of felt like I was in an alternative reality...the parks were crowded...thousands of people were waiting in long lines...and my family wasn't!!!

EXACTLY!! :teeth:

I've renewed TGM quite a few times. Took a trip in January, got hom in February and renewed for my trip in July. He keeps you updated and has a vast amount of knowledge to share with you.

I HIGHLY recommend it!

Yep...it worked out great for us too. We went to Disney back in early February and it helped our planning immensely...absolutely no waiting in lines...and there were plenty of people waiting in lines! I agree that it is the "why" you do things and "why" the park works the way it does that really makes it a valuable resource.

Yes, another big value is the real time updates. When Soarin' opened, Mike was right there on the message board, saying he was trying out all kinds of touring strategies. Whenever there is a change, you get advice RIGHT THEN on what to do. A guide book can't possibly keep up.

I was very iffy about TGM. I have the latest updated edition of the UG, I have the latest edition of WDW with Kids, and I have been reading these boards religiously for months in advance of our trip -- which is now only 12 days away!!! But then my neighbor, who trained as a Disney travel expert (her husband is a TA and his own travel biz), said, if I could just recommend one thing, spend the $20 for TGM. Then I got the $3 coupon, so I went ahead and did it.

I think he absolutely rocks! There's a lot to go through, but I just skipped over what I knew/didn't need and focused on his "what parks on what day" and his tours. I like the forums too. I am printing out a bunch of his stuff to take to WDW. And the clincher for me -- a day or so ago I read a thread here of folks who have recently returned and a couple of them had a nightmarish experience at one particular park in the evening. I went back and checked the day they were at that park and then checked TGM and sure enough -- he had said NEVER go to that park on that particular evening of the week. I think he is well worth it.

Just to add a little bit more here-There is also a lot of information on things besides the park touring aspect. There is a lot of stuff related to the resorts, restaurants, attraction details and other activities (fpr example La Nouba) like you would find in a printed guide book. I like that information can be updated on an ongoing basis. I have a whole binder of information from his site. I find it very useful.
