Hi
I keep hearing about TGM and it sounds great, but I am concerned because we are not doing everything in the parks, can we just put in the attractions/rides we want to do or will we get a list of everything in the park and what order to do them?

Thanks

I love TGM but it's not a system where you put in the attractions you want to see and then get a customized plan in return. There is a lot more to it than that. It does have great sample tour plans but it is a lot more than that.

I would recommend checking out the following link.

http://www.tourguidemike.com/

I hope this helps. Good luck!

If you want something where you can enter in what attractions you want to see and it will just spit out a list, TourGuide Mike is not what you're looking for. Mike does have sample tours, but they are not just a list. That said, if you want to have the best WDW vacation possible, sign up for TGM! You will never regret it. I LOVE him, as does everyone else on his site. We're all very loyal users and believe very strongly that it is the best way to vacation. Hope that helps you!

100% agree. Best $20 I've ever spent.

As others have said, TGM won't give you a customized touring plan. It will give you a list of attractions with ratings, descriptions, and the best time of day to visit each of them. This list is based on what you say you want to see. When you fill out the initial questionairre, you will be asked whether you want to see everything or just the good stuff. Once the list is compiled, you'll be able to add or remove attractions from that list. But this list isn't nearly as important as reading the articles and using his sample touring plans.

As far as getting a touring plan, he provides several sample plans for each park. Some are geared towards those with small children, while some are geared towards those with teens and adults. If you take the time to read all of TGM's articles and advice first, you will be able to build your own touring plans, using his sample plans as a base.

The other great thing about TGM is his least crowded days list for each park. He tells you which parks are the best choices for each day, but more importantly, he tells you why this is the case. This gives you the knowledge you need to be able to customize your own plan and be flexible. He also gives advice on holidays and special events, like the 50th celebration, SW weekends, gay days, grad nights, Food and Wine festival, Flower and Garden Festival, etc.

I highly recommend TGM if you aren't a WDW veteran. We used it for our first WDW trip in early May of this year, went on all the big attraction, and NEVER waited in line more than 10 minutes. I'm about to sign up again since I'm planning another trip for next spring again.

How does TGM compare to the info and touring plans in the Unofficial Guide? We paid $15 for that book, so I'm not really inclined to pay another $29 if it's basically the same thing. Anyone? :confused3

Elizabeth- it's different! I have used the Unofficial Guide before and I signed up for touringplans.com (which is their site). I have to say I find the information at TGMike MUCH better and it is updated constantly as things change so it is always more reliable. Mike works really hard to provide an outstanding WDW resort experience for all his customers and guests whether they are paying him $150/hr to personally guide them or whether they just pay $20 for his website info.

I used both and found them both to be very valuable.
Yes, some of the information is common, but there is also a lot of different info and advice.

It's well worth the money, and if you aren't satisfied, TGM will refund your money without a problem.

For the $$$ I am spending on my trip, $21.95 is very worth it to help maximize the enjoyment and lessen the stress. It's a very small investment compared to the cost of the vacation (that's how I think about it anyway).

I'm someone who believes you can never have enough information or do too much research so I have TGM, Birnbaums and the UG. I'll be buying the 2006 edition of Passporter to use the maps and to record information. I guess I'm a little obsessive. :teeth:

Good luck making your decision.

I agree with everyone else TGM is great! Like someone said before you are spending a lot of $$ on your WDW vacation, if you keep that in mind $21.95 isn't really that much more to spend in order to get so much information. I got the unofficial guide, touringplans.com and TGM. I regretted spending money on the UG and touringplans.com because TGM gives you all that information and even more. You have to dedicate some time to it, but he covers everything you need from booking a hotel room to avoiding crowds - even in the busy season. (I was there 6/25-7/4 and the longest I waited was 15 min. for only a couple of rides). :flower:

$21.95 is money well spent to get the most out of the big bucks $$$ you spent on the vacation!
