Hi everyone,
I am so excited, because I just started making plans with DFTW, and I'm pretty sure we're going with the ceremony at the Wedding Pavalion, and the reception at White Hall at the GF. But after reading about the different sites, Ariels's sounds really nice, so I have an appointment with Heidi next Friday to check them out. We're meeting her at Franc's studio, does anyone know how the whole thing works? We're confused as to whether we follow her from site to site, or drive together?

So anyone that has already been through this would you mind sharing your experiences?:)

I want to have a little idea of what's going on so next Friday, so it seems like I have a little clue on the whole thing:rolleyes:

Thanks

When we met with our SM in Frank's, this is how it went:

We got to Frank's, sat down, and did some introductions. Our SM asked us about us, when we met, got engaged, etc.

The we started talking about the wedding. She asked us what we envisioned our wedding day to be like - Casual or formal, dancing or no dancing, stuff like that. She asked us what venues we had in mind, and then suggested some others.

After some more talking about the various services that Disney offers for the wedding, we all drove around together in the FTW Cadillac to the various sites. After viewing them all, we headed back to Frank's we picked the one we liked the best, and sat down with our SM and gave her the details she would need to do a preliminary budget for us (number of Bridesmaids, groomsmen, guests, etc). It's a really fun day. Be prepared with questions, and if you think you'll need too remember to bring something to write all the answers down with.

Have a good time!

Thanks hmgolden
That helps alot

I also forgot to add that my mom and 8 year old nephew wants to come along. Does anyone think that my SM will care that they come?

For my site visit, I was with both my parents and my husband. I'm sure your SM wouldn't mind, but keep in mind its a good stretch of time (we were with our SM for about 4 hours), and I would worry about the patience of an 8 year old boy.

Hey there... I had my planning session a few weeks ago. It was long, but informative. We met Karen at Franks, and answered questions she had (about us and wedding), then we met with the Laura (Floral Dept.) and Andre (Entertainment). We tasted diferent cake options, and then went on tot he food tasting at the Boardwalk Resort. It was a very long day. We were there from 9am-3pm, about 6 hours!!!

I brought my mom, stepdad, and my 4 year old newphew. Brian couldnt fly down with me b/c of work. Anyways, my nephew was great! He ended up going for a walk with my stepdad to the GF to ride the monorail and they were gone about 30 minutes. Otherwise, he sat there in the room with us the rest of the time and was sooo good!! He loved the cake tasting and the food tasting. We told him if he was good we would all go swimming when it was over... needless to say he was great and we all went back tot he hotel to swim!

Anyways - be prepared to answer questions! Bring a lot of paper and a pen for notes.

If you have any more questions, feel free to ask!

Jamie

Thanks everyone for your help!

I hope my nephew is as good as yours jamie 0201!!

Just wanted to note that a planning session visit is different from a site inspection visit. You won't be tasting any food or cake just yet, rox :smooth:
