We (my husband and I) are going for Halloween (Oct. 28 - Nov. 2) We plan on doing the Happy Haunts Tour on the 28th and we were thinking of doing the Walk in Walt's Footsteps on Nov. 1. Would this be overkill with tours? We go to the parks all the time so not worried about taking the time to do them. Just curious if there is a lot of overlap since we would be taking them both during the Halloween season. We have never done a tour. Thanks!

I wouldn't think there would be much, if any, overlap. The decorations around the park will be the same, but the tour focus will be different. We've done both, but not recently. Both are fun and very different. Go for it and have a great time!

We have done both - Walk in Walt's back in 2010 and just did Happiest Haunts last week. Both are awesome and different and I recommend both if it won't take away too much park time.

I am also thinking on doing 1 of the 2, have never done a tour before but cannot decide...

Thanks for your responses. Still have a few more days before we can book. Definitely doing the Halloween one, still not sure about adding a second one this trip.

Just did WIWF on 9 September. Absolutely loved it. Lots of walking, plus it was very hot, but our Guide Cassie kept us in the shade wherever possible, and encouraged us to drink water. I purposely booked a day when the tour started before park opening, and as a result got some great photos of empty castle area and street. We rode Alice and IASW, toured the Disney Gallery, had lunch at Jolly Holiday, and then toured the Dream Suite. Lots of bits of information throughout the tour (I recommend bring your own in-ear buds if you have them, as the over-the-ear headphones they give you get in the way of sunglasses and hats). If you love the history of Disneyland and Walt, then this tour is worth it. I did this as part of a five day trip, so didn't miss out on anything that I would of on a shorter trip, where I might of had to miss some rides/shows to fit the tour in.
