I have toured once- back in 2005. I want to tour again. But, I am interested in seeing AKV. Can you only tour at SSR centre or will they take you to view AKV??(note I have stayed at AKL before Kidani)

Also, if I have not bought yet, but am receiving info from a particular guide, does that mean that is my guide now?? or can I deal with someone else?? I understand that if I had bought, that would be my guide. But, the reason I ask is, the guide I have been getting info from has not been returning emails.:confused3:surfweb:

Another ???- Would you buy without seeing firsthand the resort?? Or would you tour/stay first??Just wondering what opinions are that are.

When we were considering our purchase (via re-sale), we went and visited a number of the resorts. We didn't do a formal tour. We stopped at the front desk and asked for a map and for suggested things we should see. We spent a couple of hours at each of the resorts we were interested in. I've heard from others that, if you want to see a room, you can ask and if they can, they will let you see one.

Your guide is your guide unless you request a change or that person leaves the position. Note that guides are not allowed to email since, I think, that commits them to something in writing.

Although you are talking about working with a guide, if you are looking at a resort which is available via resale, I'd urge you to consider going that route. You'll probably save a lot of money. Many of the folks on these boards use the resale company, TSS, which sponsors these boards. That's who I used and I was quite happy. There are other resale companies out there which also have great reputations.

Good Luck!

That makes sense about the email, Now I feel bad for thinking I was being "dis'd" (pun intended)

Also, is DVC allowed to sell directly to Ontario? Many parts of Canada, and in some states in the US, DVC Guides can not have any sales contacts with people that live there...they have to tour and buy in person.
