would i be best booking a tour asap or would it be ok to do it when we get there? we go in 2 weeks

Thanks in advance

We booked in advance when we did ours as it was during the busy summer holidays. It's probably not necessary in June but I think I'd still book in advance. The email address to use is in this thread here.

Hope you don't mind me asking this but are you all planning on doing this tour as it's really not suitable for small children. IMO if your Mum could look after your son you could then enjoy it fully.

was planning for me and my son to do it. he'll be fine in his pushchair with some snacks. I usually go walking with him in the pushchair and he loves just watching around him, so it shouldnt really be a problem

It's better to book in advance, because the languages available change everyday and City Hall can "reserve" a guide for the day you want, if available ^^
