Hi all,

I've been reading here & there about "tour Guide Mike"... what is that???
How do one subscribe to that??

Your help is well appreciated ;-)

Personally, I think of it as an online guide book. It's updated fairly frequently and has lots of tips and hints for touring. It's not a personalized touring plan (i.e. go here, then do this), but it will give you the background information for you to make decisions about how to plan your itinerary, when to hit each ride/attraction, etc. The website is TourGuideMike.com and there are coupons available at some Disney related websites. I used it for my 2004 trip and just resubscribed for my 2006 trip.

www.tourguidemike.com

It is basically an on-line guidebook that is updated for changes in real-time ... different hours for holidays, changes to EMHs. He also makes recommendations for which days to visit each park if you are a on-site guest or off-site guest.

He has touring plans that are aimed to have you avoid the lines - his theory is zig when others zag. I've used his recommended itinerary for preschoolers and swear by it!

I am probably a lifetime tourguidemike subscriber - for me, its worth the $20 to avoid a meltdown of children. (I've also stopped buying hard copy guides and use his exclusively). We also tend to travel during February hours which fluctuate so I can get the best information from him.

There will be a variety of opinions about Mike - search on tour guide mike or tourguidemike and you can find the advice. Few people are ambivalent - most of us either love his site and find it helpful or hate his site and find it cumbersome.

Good luck!

I subscribe to Touringplans on-line which sounds similar to TourguideMike in that they also have touring itineraries, recommended park days, etc. Does anyone also subscribe to touringplans? How do the two guides compare?

Thanks!

We can enthusiastically endorse Mike's site as well worth the nominal cost. He's a professional in every sense of the word. We've used his service for our last trip and are using it now for our pending trip. You can go to: http://www.tourguidemike.com and get an understanding of the quality and depth of his service and choose to "sign-up." It's well worth the cost!

Another thumbs up for Mike!! Our Thanksgiving trip last year was so awesome thanks to him ( we avoided crowds all weekend!!!). Ive just renewed with him for the 3rd time. He does tell you where to go and where not to go. He also explains WHY!! I cant wait for the November hours to come out so I can get planning!!!

It's certainly NOT Mike's fault, but it would be nice if Disney would publish the November hous. As recently as this morning, a CM expressed surprise that they aren't yet published. :rolleyes1

Oh no.. absolutley NOT Mikes fault.. Thats not what I meant.. He cant plan itinerary for November without Disney releasing the hours.. I keep going to TGM and hitting the November link... still no hours from Disney.. :confused3 Why is Disney taking so long?? To torture us??? I cant wait to start planning for Thanksgiving.. COME ON DISNEY!! Mike needs those hours!!!
