With the discount code it's only 12.95 to sign up. I did! I've heard rave reviews about it and he certainly seems to know the "secrets" and "how to's". We'll see in April!
That code is HE7LE-8HA
(They will ask for this code when you're almost done with the sign up process.)
I can definately say that Tour Guide Mike has been an excellent planning tool for me.
I noticed that you were staying concierge at the Poly and I was wondering if you had had a chance to work with an Itinerary Planning agent there. They can be great help as well.
there's a thread with a lot of information about contacting your hotel's Itinerary Planners.
I'm not quite sure what to expect if I sign-up w/ tourguidemike.com. Will I get an actual recommended plan specific for my dates (ie. where we should go on what day and the order we should see things in) or will I just get information and need to develop a plan myself? I've looked at the site some, but just can't tell for sure. Thanks!
I just signed up about a week ago and it's amazing. He covers everything disney related and his site is full of really useful information.
This will be our first trip as a family and I'm really looking forward to using all his tips because I'm sure they'll be incredibly helpful.
It will tell you how to get around the parks with the least amount of waiting during the time you are there.
I used TGM when we went at Xmas. I didnt use everything that was suggested due to I signed up after my PS was done. I found most of his advice right on target.
I worked with Tara first but for some reason I got switched to Sarah. I asked her what happend to Tara and she said that you don't get signed a specific concierge person. There are several in the office. Its just who is available. So who knows. They both seem great.
With TGM when you sign up the website will not plan your trip for you. He gives you the info on the best days to visit each park (1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th choices) for morning and evening and why and there are touring plans (like adults only, thrill riders, plans for those with young kids, and mixed plans, etc). He also explains why to do some rides at certain times, etc. There is a lot of information there. He has shortened versions of his info if you want something quick and easy but the more time you can spend reading and planning the more you'll get out of it - like anything else!
I LOVE his site and it is well worth the money. It is a one time fee per trip - you have access until a month or two after you get back. It isn't a monthly fee - I guess unless you go to WDW every month.
What's the difference between tourguidemike and the tour books that give the same kind of advice? I have gotten wonderful tips and advice from the Unofficial Guide to Disney - and I took it out of the library for free.
How can a book, printed months ago, be as updated as a human being, a Disney tour expert, who updates his imformation daily to his TGM'ers.
Read his bio - check out his website and make the tiny investment to sign up. It will be the wisest investment you could make for a WDW vacation.
I have been going to WDW since the year it opened and thought I was a pro. However, I learn new information constantly thru TourGuideMike;s website. He is personally involved with his subscribers. Check it out, your satisfaction is guaranteed. And those of us who depend on it can testify that it can't be topped anywhere, anyway. Join up and see for yourself.
