You should have seen the look DH gave me a few hours ago when he asked if I was ready for bed and I said "No, I need to join the December Vacation Club. I want to be one of the founding members."

Thanks, I'll take the frozen ones. Have you ever put them in brownies? Seriously, regular ol' brownie mix. Put 1/2 in the pan, put the Thin Mints in the pan, put the rest of the mix on top and bake. MMMMMMMMMMM.

Thin Mints are SWEMA compliant, right? RIGHT????? Sigh, pass the wine.

OMG! It's a good thing I DON'T have thin mints in the house right now, because I'd be staying up baking brownies if I did.

That sounds heavenly! ESpecially if you top it with my "secret" mint brownie topping (ok, I'll tell you. 1 stick butter blended with 1/2 cup powdered sugar and 1 Tbsp Creme De Menthe. Delicious!).

Mike hasn't made an update lately about his sister so I can only hope that no news is better news? I hate to pry with things like that.

Sometimes I don't think people stop and think beyond their initial knee jerk, entitled reactions to things. It's unfortunate but I guess if a few folks want to back out of TGM that leaves more room for other folks. I have a few other thoughts running through my mind but I don't see any need or reason to expound and I'll just leave it at that.

I suppose a major part of my understanding, too, comes from the fact that my husband is a business owner. On top of that he's had his servers go down and a LOT rides on them being up 24/7. He's even had one server go down along with it's mirrored server! A lot of empathy comes from knowing what those shoes feel like...our IT guys didn't sleep for 48 hours!! And Bill didn't sleep too well either.

Well, you could talk about it if you really wanted to. It's a free country. Buuuut, you'd have some consequences. I hate consequences. Except when they are worth it!

Know what else is good? Using ice cream instead of the oil/water in the brownie mxi. Honest. I won 2nd place at the Southern California Exposition (Del Mar Fair) with this. Because we are sitting up with a sick friend (website), I will give you the receipe (spelling doesn't count when sitting up with a sick friend).

Brownie mix
Godiva Chocolate Raspberry Truffle Ice Cream
Raspberries, fresh or frozen doesn't really matter.
As many eggs as the box of brownie mix calls for

Substitute an equal (or a smidge more) amount of ice cream for the oil and water. Mix in the egg(s) and brownie mix. Fold in raspberries. Bake as directed on the box. Devour. Repeat.

Caution, I called them Lookout Brownies, because if you didn't watch what was going on, you could pull back a blood stump from trying for the last brownie.

Would it be possible for my fellow TGM'rs to remember that I won't remember these recipes in 5 minutes? So, when we get back home, would you start a brownie recipe thread and post them there? That would be soooo cool!!

Nope, you have to hit refresh to see new posts. And they don't always email you notifications properly-- some posts are skipped, others late. And the time stamp is almost 20 minutes off. Ahhh I miss home.

not sure whatcha mean by like Mike's, but as long as you're refreshing the page, the one thing you may have to watch out for is it's showing like 15 posts per page or something like that, so watch the page numbers in the corner

and yes, i never drink.... wine

ETA: oh.. i think i just gave away why i don't sleep... :/
