Tough Week -Good Week

This has been a tough week for me - my Mom died last November, Dad last July. This is my first Mother's Day without my Mom, and Wednesday would have been their 50th Wedding Anniversary. I made it thorough Mother's Day, but I am dreading Wednesday - even though I know they're celebrating together - I truly believe that.

On the other hand, DS and DD have kept me going. Basebell, Soccer, School concerts, DS's B'day - it's been a whirlwind that last couple of weeks, but in a strange way, I am eating it up -I can't seem to get enough of their activities - I am so proud of how hard they try, and so proud of each accomplishment.

So - good week, bad week. I guess that's what makes life the interesting ride it is. So, I'll ride out the rest of this week, and continue to love my life.

{HUGS} I understand how difficult this is for you. I hope something extra special happens for you this week so that you will know how special you are and how proud your parents are of you. After all, you're raising their grandkids, you know.

I do not know what it is like to lose a loved one, much less my parents, I can only imagine the pain. I am sorry for your loss. As hard as this Wednesday will be, I hope that the happy memories of your parents will carry you through the day and warm your heart.
