Tough Day

Thanks for eveyone's concern. I am ovewhelmed with oly parenthood right now but it will get better.

My pact to myself is to have more self control with swaps for a while until we get his ASD stuff in place and that should help me some. He and I can focus more on our books instead of swaps.

 I am so glad everything is oaky.
When you are right there so close to it, it can be hard to see if there is anything else in the bigger picture. At least, I know I have tunnel vision when it comes to the kids. I am also the worry wort in our family. I took my Eldest to the ER because of gas pain. He is a little melodramatic, but the way he was carrying on, I though it was his appendix. He couldn't sleep the pain was so bad. Well he fell asleep just fine in the car. And then he passed gas in the car and Mommy turned the car around and went home.

 We are here if you need us.

 Susie.. I hope he is doing better this AM..

Head injuries/vomiting so close together would have sent me into a panic too..
As for the gum bruise...you need to check into that too.. Did he lose that tooth already? If not it may take a little longer for the permanet tooth to push down.. (that is what happened to my little guy).. I took him into our dentist and he said everything was fine but it might take longer for after loss for the permanent to push through and it did..

Hope you and he are both doing better.. try to catch some sleep when he does.. I always find it more comforting to sleep on the couch w/ them.. Although my kids are heavy sleepers so they no longer can lay their heads on my legs to sleep because I lose feeling in my legs.. they start weighing a ton!

hey susie- just checking out to see how stone is feeling?? i have been thinking about you two all day. hope he's feeling better!

Stone is all better now. With his ASD diagnosis I am now able to get some assistance iwth him and we have an interview with a worker on Wednesday.....If there is anyone that can help me iwth the right things to look for or questions to ask, please let me know.

He is all well now.

My mother is better.

I, however, now have bronchitis......I could no longer stand it last night and got some help.

I have had one round of meds and feel some better but boy does it make me sleepy. I don't think I need to be cutting anything.

I asked for an IEP meeting before school got out but we didn't get the results in time. I know the Exceptional Children's Director has gone over it with the principal and school psychologist. They will formally meet when school starts.

He will have a developmental tech during the week.

I plan on starting Sylvan again next week because I have already paid for the remaining 30 some hours I have.

Tuesday, the targeted case management company is doing a developmental assessment and they will come up with some things. They have writen an awesome book for him.

What type of things will the developmental tech be doing with Stone? ABA? Life Skills? Academic?

Glad to hear he and your Mom are feeling better. Now take care of yourself.
