Going to the world in Oct. 2011 with the wife and daughters (2 and 4 year old). Which would you choose out of Cindy's Royal Table (breafast, lunch, dinner), 1900 Park Fare (dinner), or Akershus (breakfast)? Going on the DDP so that could make a difference also with the table service credits.

Been to all 3. Cinderella's Table was a one time thing because we wanted the experience of dining in the castle, but we weren't impressed with the meal. Akershus was a one time thing too. We didn't like the type of food served, but seeing the princesses was fun. 1900 Park Fare dinner is our favorite. The buffet was really good, not only did we see Cinderella, but we saw Prince John, the stepsisters and the stepmother. There was a lot of interaction between the characters and our kids.

IMO I would save the CRT experience for when they are a little older and will appreciate it more, especially since you will give-up 2 credits.
1900 is nice but I thought it took them a long time to go from table to table since there are not as many characters.
Akersus would be my choice for the 1 credit, even though I have never been, I hear the princess interaction is great and you would still get the photo of your girls as a keepsake. I would think breakfast would be a safer food choice.

We've done all 3 and I would say my little girl enjoys the experience at Akershus much more. She is only 5 so maybe she wasn't ready for the castle. The castle in my opinion was way too rushed with the character interaction. Akershus is at a better pace and she still gets royal treatment there.

We've also done all 3 and I would say our daughter's favorite is Akershus. For our daughter the number of princess there was a hit and the fact that a family picture with Belle was included in the meal credit was a nice bonus. I know the food selection is a little more limited but the princesses made up for it. We also like getting an early breakfast there so we can enter Epcot before the opening and walk at a quiet leisure pace back to Norway. Our daughter thought it so cool to be allowed to go before the rest of people waiting outside the park. We told her it was because the princesses only invited their best friends for this breakfast. She was smiling ear to ear. Also you can get some great pictures of her using different countries as background and have that we had the park to ourselves look.

Although we have not been to CRT yet, the rest of your post took the words right out of my mouth. I also agree with Alabama Minnie about CRT being something that I would wait on until they are older. So 1900 PF got my vote because it truly is a great buffet and the characters are fabulous.

We also have done all 3. Akershus was okay. The food was a little odd; the kids were not a fan. The princesses were a lot rushed and kind of snarky.
CRT sucked big time! I will never ever do it again. Well, if I'm not paying, maybe. The food was, by far, the worst I've ever eaten. Not just on property, but ever. The food was bad, the service was awful, too. I got to watch our server glare at me from the kitchen because I wasn't ordering (or eating) fast enough. Oh, yeah, and that was my view. I got to look into the kitchen and my husband had a great view of a column. Yippee. Sorry I'm so negative about this, but I was insanely disappointed-especially for the price (or 2 TS credits).
Park Fare was great, though. My boys loved it. There was great character interaction, and the price was much better. I say if you want the picture, bring a camera.

I've been to Akershus and CRT. I don't like Akershus, it used to be way better. I really like CRT. Plus, what 4 year old wouldn't want to eat in a castle?

I prefer Akerhaus- I love the buffet and the food is not your standard fare. Look at the menus and use that to make your decision. Cinderellas Castle was awesome but the food just so-so.

My sister took my nieces recently (2 and 4). They didn't love the food, but they got to spend lots of time with the princesses.

We found the Norway breakfast to be not only delicious, but the princess' interaction with guest particularly small princesses to be outstanding. As a family, we love 1900 park faire, but for the food and princess' would bet your girls would LOVE norway!!!

We have been to all 3: CRT for dinner, Akershus for breakfast, and 1900 PF for dinner.

CRT--nice to try once so you could say you ate in the castle and the meal was good. I wouldn't spend the money/TS credits on kids that young.

1900 PF--buffett was mediocre, characters were great, but wait was long, restaurant was cramped, and the calliope was deafening.

Akershus--this was the best bang for the buck. You get to see princesses for only 1 TS credit and the cheesy potatoes are yummy!

I would pick Akershus, and I did for our upcoming trip!:thumbsup2

Thanks for all the replies. We have been to CRT and I agree that the food is not that special but we did have fun with our 14 month old and almost three year old. Really want to try the other princess venues but the Norwegian food scares me and I didn't know how the 1900 PF was set up. I do like the idea of the pics with Belle at Akershus (she is my girl's favorite princess, usually).

I would suggest Akersaus for breakfast only. We have gone for lunch and dinner and with my picking family it didnt work for us. 1900 is a blast. The stepsister are funny. We were at CRT last year and was not impressed with it at all. In fact, that was probably our last time there.

I have been to all 3. I chose CRT, as I think it has the best overall princess feel. My 2nd choice would be Akershus. I also love it there!

We did breakfast at Akershus and it was basic breakfast fare. There might have been some Norwegian food there but I don't remember since my picky family wouldn't have gotten any. Like I said, they had cheesy potatoes which were awesome and I'm looking forward to them on our next trip in a few weeks!

If you go at breakfast the food for Akershus is pretty basic. There is a buffet with yogurt, bagels, danishes, and some basic fruits. Then brought to your table is a "hot" plate of food with cheesy potatoies, bacon, sausage links, and eggs. The food was really tasty. And as others have mentioned the picture with Belle is amazing and the interaction is wonderful. I would say go for that! We did CRT and the experience was nice but the food was not good at all!

I was gonna ask basically the same question lol. The only one i've been to is 1900 Park Fare for breakfast. My kids and I werent really impressed.(Mad Hatter got under my daughters skin lol.We love to see the Characters wherever. I am actually considering going back to 1900 for dinner.(any thoughts?). I defintely want to eat in the castle for the simple reason i can say i ate there lol. Not sure which meal though. DD who will be 14 is pretty picky. I was also looking at Akerhaus possibly breakfast for the simple fact of them having pretty much basic food.

I voted for Akershsus breakfast because that is our favorite breakfast plus it is only 1 dining credit where CRT is 2 dining credits. The food there is awesome especially the cheesy potatoes, and the cold bar is great too. At Akershus you get to see Belle as you first walk into the door then 5 other princesses come walking around the table. If you are going to do this breakfast, make sure you make an ADR for before the park opens :thumbsup2
