OK, so last week DH and I are at SSR for a last minute trip and he remembers the e mail he got saying the lounge is now open to all DVC members regardless of where they are staying. Want to go over for a drink? Sure, I say, love to. Drive over there, explain to Ms guard at guard house that we are going to lounge to have bite to eat/drink, show her license, room key with DVC member printed on it. "Do you have reservations sir?" she asks husband.
DH replies we are DVC members, staying at another DVC resort, going to the lounge to get a bite to eat and a few drinks, no reservations accepted at lounge. She continues to look on computer, and then says, "I don't see a reservation in your name sir. I took all of your information and will give you a 2 hour pass. If you need to be there any longer, you will have to have someone from the lounge contact me here to extend your stay." DH and l look at each other, park the car, go to the door, pick up the phone, which connected us to the front desk at the CR. That CM informed us that we had to wait to see a CM in the BLT lobby and get them to let us in.
We waited about 5 minutes, no one showed up in the lobby. We left and took our business to the ESPN club. Anyone else have an issue getting into the lounge? Just wondering. We did get a good laugh over it.
