I just booked our stay at BWV today for September for 10 days. I am comtemplating switching our first night to BLT so that we can take advantage of TOTWL.
Any suggestions on whether or not this is a good idea?
Is the TOTWL an outdoor space? Is there a schedule of when they do fireworks at MK or do they do them every night?
Thanks! Any info appreciated.

TOTWL is open to all DVC members staying on points at any resort so you do not need to switch. You can go visit and just keep your room at BWV.

There is an indoor lounge and an outdoor deck that you view the fireworks from. MK usually has fireworks every night - you'll just need to check the schedule to see what time they are scheduled for on the night you plan to go over.

The lounge serves a few appetizers and drinks. You check in at a desk in the BLT lobby and will be escorted to the elevator to go up to the lounge. They will probably just scan your Magic Band but you should also bring your DVC member card and an id.

As noted by KAT4DISNEY, you don't need to book a night at BLT. We stayed at BLT and enjoyed the TOTWL. Here's the link to the DFB's review.

The only caveat to add is that you cannot drive your own vehicle and park at CR/BLT. DVC requires that members not staying at BLT use Disney transportation to get to BLT (or use a cab). You could park at the TTC, but not at the resort.
