TOTWL Deck or CG Deck for Wishes?

If you've watched Wishes from both locations, was there much difference? Which did you prefer?

We'll be having an early dinner at the CG and we're staying at the BLT. Haven't watched Wishes from the CG, but have seen it from the Contemporary Resort's 4th floor observation deck.

Knowing me, I will not want to go back to the CG to see Wishes, but if it's a really different experience, I might make more of an effort, LOL.

They offer virtually the same experience. The view from the California Grill is a bit more head on, but not enough so that I would choose it over the Top of the World.

Another piggyback on Carol's question - if you have early dinner in CG can you return to CG later to watch the fireworks?

We have dinner reservations on 12/30 at 7:15pm and I was wondering if we could return at 11 or 12 when they do the "NYE test" fireworks. From what I understand TOTWL is not available unless you are staying at BLT on the 30th and 31th.

Yes, you can return later in the evening to watch the fireworks. Just save your receipt from dinner.

I don't know if they're open that late though? Not sure about the really late NYE fireworks. Thinking they probably would be, but not sure!

I really didn't care much for the view of the fireworks from TOTWL. They seemed disjointed. I preferred them from New Fantasyland.

I do not see a real difference between those viewing areas. Go to whichever is more convenient. I would definitely try one of them.

I like the TOTW viewing area as it seems wider and much less crowded
