TOTWL BEFORE check in to DVC that night?

I am not a huge fan of TOTWL but DS is bringing his gf next trip and asked if we could do this....We are staying at OKW, our plane lands at 8:20 and Wishes is at 10 pm. We are picking up a rental car and will drive ourselves straight from MCO to BLT for Wishes. Now I know we may not make it time wise, but if we can, what do we show at TOTWL to prove we are staying at a DVC resort since we will not have checked in yet? Magic bands and DVC member card? Can we even park at CR for this ( I would like to combine this with a late dinner at Contempo Cafe if it is open after 10) Long shot I know, but it would be great to catch Wishes straight off like that since we won't be visiting MK until day 3 of our vacation.

You will have to go by the resort to at least get your parking pass before going to BLT. The guard at BLT/CR will not let you park thinking you are trying to park there to walk to MK.

I can't recall where I read this but I know I saw somewhere that they do not allow dvc members not staying at BLT park at BLT for TOTWL-they are required to use disney transportation to get there. Perhaps if it is not busy they will let you park there but be prepared in case they insist you park at MK lot and take the monorail

Note that Members traveling from other Resorts must use Walt Disney World Transportation, as parking is unavailable to anyone not staying at Bay Lake Tower or Disney's Contemporary Resort. Upon arrival, Members must walk to the Bay Lake Tower main lobby entrance on the ground floor and check in at the Top of the World Lounge desk in the lobby.

You could park at the transportation and ticket center and monorail over.

If you did online check-in, you don't need to go to the room beforehand. You will get a text with your room number, you could show that to the CM at BLT. But the others are correct you cannot park at BLT unless you are staying there. There just isn't enough parking at BLT. The employee lot often overflows and then they park in the BLT lot combined with the overflow from CR.
