Totally overwhelmed with choices

All I can definately say is that I'm going to WDW September 3-8th, after changing dates back and forth for a week or more. Now I have even more questions:

1) DH says we can stay where I want within reason, meaning any resort on or offsite excluding GF. It will be myself, DH and DS that will be 23 months at the time. I'm currently stuck between WL, BC or either Swan or Dolphin. With a toddler in a stroller which would be most convenient? The reason we're not staying at a moderate is because DH got sick of folding the stroller for the buses, so he wants something easier like the monorail or boats, or even walking.

2) We are FL residents, so we can utilize FL res codes for room only, also we have AAA and are Starwood preferred plus cardholders. We also have FL resident seasonal passes. Do the seasonal passes count as AP's for room codes? If not, is it worth it buy one AP and one seasonal pass just for the discounts or will we do as well just using Fl resident codes?

3) If we stay at Swan or Dolphin, are we still able to get magic hour EE privileges?

Thanks for everyone's help!

1) sounds like you will want to stay at either a MK resort or an EPCOT area resort. BC or dolphin/swan would be walking distance to EPCOT and either walking distance or boat ride to MGM...you could walk through EPCOT and talk monorail to MK...

2) not really sure

3)YES!

How about the Poly? We have stayed there and also WL. If I were taking a small child, I dod the Poly. The monorail access is worth it! The boat from WL to MK is great, but you still have to take a bus to the rest of the parks.

I vote for Poly or Contemporary since MK will most likely be the biggest hit with your little one....::yes:: Be sure to eat at O'hanas!!!

Hey!!

Usually, Fl Res. rates come out with AP rates, and are comparable. There is no need to buy any pass until after the rates come out and you are able to book that rate.

Another vote for the Poly - the monorail access to MK and Epcot is great, and you will probably spend most of your time at MK. But, if the Poly doesn't do it for you, BC is in a perfect location for Epcot, the Boardwalk, and MGM, however you will have to bus to the MK and AK. And, BC buses stop at BC, YC, Boardwalk, Swan/Dolphin (I think the first stop is YC).

Have a great time planning your trip!!

I have seen instances where the AP rate was better than the FL resident rate for deluxes. Your Seasonal pass is treated just like AP for the discounts. I also vote for Poly. Enjoy your trip!

keriannhoward,

With Florida Resident Pass you will not need an annual pass and the black-out dates won't effect your dates for September. While the Fla Resident Specials are usually the same as AP's, some times they are offered when no AP code is, like last September.

While I love the Wilderness Lodge and it is less expensive then the other MK resorts the fact that you husband doesn't want to fold the stroller...leaves you with two options a MK Monorail Resort or EPCOT Resort, but with either you still have to take a bus to two of the parks.

Hi - If you are going to spend most of your time in Epcot, I would go with the Swan or Dolphin. If you are going to spend most of your time in MK, I would go with WL (I guess you would still have to fold the stroller on the boat but I am not sure about that) or the CR. Have a great trip and let us know what you decide. :D

I would also stay at the Poly. You can take the monorail to the MK and can walk to the TTC and monorail to Epcot. That's two parks that you don't have to bus to! The resort is not too spread out (compared to some moderates or values) so it's not too far to walk to the main building to catch the monorail or the bus.

Another vote for the Poly. The transportation options are great, and I love the theming.

another vote for the Poly!

It's a great place for families with little ones.
Zero-entry pool and children's water area.:bounce:

Can't beat being on the monorail with little ones, too!::yes::
