Totally Off-Topic...Sort Of!

I was sorting through my jewelery box yesterday, and have several rings, earrings, and gold chains that I don't wear, and haven't worn for years. Some of them I haven't worn in more than 15 years, so I don't expect I am suddenly going to get the urge. I am thinking of taking the items to one of those "cash for gold" places. Can anyone recommend a Canadian company that you, or your friends or family have had good experiences with?

I'd rather sell the jewelery and fund a quick trip to see the Harry Potter attractions than let it gather dust for another 15 years!

Personally, I'd stay away from those Cash for Gold places ... I saw a news story about them a while ago and they give you a fraction of what the gold is actually worth (the person sent in a whole bunch of gold and only got about $75)

Well, that was why I posted this...to get recommendations on reputable companies who pay a fair price.

Here in Ottawa Recycle Frog is imo,the best.I went to one of those places that give you payday loans and after a couple of items i told them to stop.It was ridiculous.
NEVER mail it in;it can get "lost".At RF they weigh the items in individual trays,10k,14k,18k,and pay far better than anywhere else if you really want to get rid of it,but it's true you don't get the full value.
