Hi. On 8/17 we'll be in Orlando for 7 days. Every year we 'do' Disney but this year decided to include Universal. The kids are 11 & 13 and we've been to Disney 12 times -- so I think they'll enjoy the change.

I'm TOTALLY confused about Universal ticket policy. Online I can purchase a Bonus Pass for about $90 and this gives me 5 consecutive days for less than the price of 2 days. This sounds great and we arrive at noon on Sunday and we would like to spend the remaining part of Sunday in Universal. Do I have to purchase an express pass also or is it included? I can't figure it out.

Is that a good pass to purchase?

Also, does anyone know of a good touring plan that I can copy? I don't see one of the site. Thanks

And, how are the crowds right now?

Thanks

Del

Crowds are gradually getting better as the month goes on. More and more kids going back to school. I start tomorrow (yuck).

The 5 day pass is excellent to purchase. We bought it for my cousin who only went 2 days because it was less expensive...and if she just HAPPENED to be able to stay longer, we could have gone another day (though she couldn't :( ). Express Passes...like Express Pass Plus do not come with the 5 day pass and must be bought seperately, though each ticket can get you an express pass at rides through machines (which I think is similar to how Disney does it...). You can get only one Express pass per ticket at a time. You can't get another one for the same ticket until A) you use your previous ticket B) your Express expires or C) 2 hours after you get the Express pass.

I recommend bringing a photo ID with signature with you. My cousin did not need one (she's 15), but we always got nervous because they have signs saying you need one. Better to be safe than sorry.

As for a plan to go by, I will look for one I already have typed up, or I'll retype it. I know someone else had something similar to mine, but we argued about which order between two rides (yes, our only difference was which ride to ride first...lol). I'll post back soon.

at the machines by each attraction, but they run out when it's busy. You can also buy them or better yet, stay on site and it's included on your room key.

Have fun!
