totally booked?????

I went to book a room online for the first week in Dec (the 5th to the 13th) and I tried every single hotel and there is no availability??? Is there something going on that week that would have every room booked???? Should I just try calling instead and see what happens??? HELP!!!

THat may be Pop Warner and CHeer and dance. I'd definitely call!

The pp is correct.....that is the week for Pop Warner/Cheerleading. They are usually at the All Star resorts as well as POR/POFQ. But I would call to see what might be available as CRO sometimes has different availability than what shows online. Good luck!!!

I just booked CBR on Thurday for 12/3 - 12/7. Tey also told me they ha ASsp avilable. I didn't check any deluxe.

We're booked 12/5-9 & did not know about Pop Warner! I keep calling back to apply a code & there is NOTHING available!!! The time just worked out for my nieces with school (over a weekend). Just HOW bad is it going to be??????????

I was there during Pop Warner in 2006 and if it weren't for this board I never even would have known they were there. Now granted we stay at Shades of Green, not the hotels they stay at. But at the parks, I never even noticed them. The crowd level was very low like I expected for that time of year.

In the parks - not bad at all. You might not even be aware of them. However, if you're staying at a resort they're using - it could be a nightmare. Think unruly, poorly supervised kids "living it up" away from home, and you'll realize it's a good week to AVOID the value resorts. If you can't swing a more expensive resort, consider picking different dates.

I have mostly heard that Pop Warner has little effect on the parks, and that it's a slower time of the year in general (busier over the last few years, but still relatively slow), so why would all of the on-site rooms be booked?

I suggest that you call. Although the entire time that you want may not be available in 1 hotel, you might be able to reserve a split stay. And, later, if the days become available in one of the hotels, you can switch the reservation.

You have me nervous because I will be booking our next trip before the end f this year for December 2009/ The dates are 12-6 -12-12 and we will be staying at Port Orleans French Quarter.

Yes, I booked over the phone and got an AP rate for room only.
That was on Thursday afternoon.
