We did the Beach Express excursion in Jan. Our driver didn't give a lot of info during the drive. It was a nice excursion. The beach was calm and our hostess was really nice. She said this beach had always just been a locals beach, but after the hurricane hit Tortola they opened it to cruise ships. There aren't bars or restaurants there, but they had a lot of tents selling items like tshirts/jewelry and had people with grills selling food/drinks. We had just eaten, so we didn't buy anything, but it smelled really good. The excursion included kayaks and pool noodles. I don't remember if there were snorkels and masks or not. There was also a water trampoline that cost $5 extra that my dd loved. They had outdoor showers to rinse off the sand. The bathrooms were on large platforms that they brought in. They were clean and well kept. The host said they were trying to get the govt to spend money there so the ships would continue to use it for excursions. There was only one other small group there when we were there, probably no more than 75 people. We went in the morning. I would go there again. I haven't been to Cane Garden so don't know how it is. I know it's popular, so it could be crowded if there's a lot of ships in port. I think if you usually go early you can beat some of the ship crowds.
