Has anyone tried the DCL excursion Beach Express (TT68) in Tortola and can you provide feedback?

We will be there in a few weeks and have to do a DCL excursion in order to get off the ship with our 5 & 6 year old due to covid restrictions.

We also considered Jost Van Dyke Beach Transfer (TT14) or Jost Van Dyke Beach Day (TT65) but are worried that would be too much travel time for the kids with the 35 minute motor launch and then tender boat each way. Looking for quick direct trip to a nice beach day.

We did this in 2018 or 2019, we cruise every year, so can't remember exactly which year we did this. There had been a hurricane the Fall before we did it and this was a new excursion when we did it(some of the other beaches were still closed due to the hurricane). My dd was 8 or 9 yrs old at the time and she really enjoyed it. There weren't any restaurants or shops by the beach, but there were people with tables and tents selling food, drinks, and souvenirs. We got there right after breakfast so we didn't buy any food or drinks. The host for our group greeted us and showed us where things were. They had kayaks that my dd and dh used for free. I think they may have had masks/flippers and pool noodles, but I'm not sure. There was a water trampoline that cost extra, I think $5/pp. We had a part of the beach for everyone on our excursion. There was another small group there at the same time. It wasn't crowded at all. They had outdoor showers to wash off sand and a couple of trailer type bathrooms, very clean. The host was very friendly and said they were hoping to make this a beach cruise ships would use more often. I know it's been several years since we went, but I would go on this excursion again. It's not one of the more popular excursions, but that made it nice. There were only about 50 people on it. If you haven't been to Tortolla before, it is somewhat hilly. If anyone in your party gets motion sickness, they may want to take Bonine before getting on the taxi. I did this and was fine on the drive(it wasn't a bad drive, I just get sick really easy with any movement)

Have not done the Beach Express or been to Beef Island beach...

We have done the Jost Van Dyke Beach day and Transfer...The Beach day is longer at and Beach Transfer is shorter (no Lunch). It is great beach and a great ride to get there. But with smaller children I am not sure its the best idea. It is a long boat ride and can be choppy going across the channel...also have to go between a big boat and a small boat to get to the beach with no pier just walk off front or jump in water so not ideal for little ones in my opinion. But if your kids are good with that they will love that beach and so will you.
