Tortilla Jo vs Rancho del Zocalo

Our family loves Mexican food & we miss eating it while at DL. I think the food at Rancho is greasy, dry/lumpy rice & watered down beans. I've tried it twice & haven't been impressed either time.

We've avoided TJ's because of the many reports of food poisoning. I don't want to chance getting that on vacation.

We've never ventured off-site, so no help in what's in the surrounding areas. Good luck with your decision!!

Torilla Jo's for sure. Though on our last trip I was on a chili relleno kick and had them 2 days in a row. The first time I got it a la carte and it was absolutely amazing. The second time, I got the "meal" and it was just so so...I wonder if nuking the beans and rice dried it out? The margaritas are super tasty and it's a nice break for us from the parks. My girls love dinner time there when they have the balloon artists....who doesn't love princess balloons? :)

Haven't been to TJ, but splitting a slice of tres leches cake while enjoying the Day of the Dead display (outside & a few feet away) at Rancho is a good 10 min. spent. :thumbsup2

:)
