What is the best time to leave?
Friday night or early Sat?
What is the best way....Detroit or Buffalo?
really only one driver as my wife is not comfortable driving, towing the trailer. So how long should I expect to be on the road?
Thanks all

We leave on Friday night to drive down we are taking the trailer this trip and going with the in laws so we are leaving Friday morning as they do not want to drive as far as we normally do on the first day. So we will be meeting them in Sarnia and heading from there at 8 AM on teh Friday morning and stopping at a small campground in Crittenden KY for the night it is only 20 bucks for the site. From there we are going to Gatlinburgh for a few days of camping then on to Savannah GA for a few days of camping then off to Homossa Springs then Myakka River state park for a few days.

On our regular trips it is leave Friday night. Drive to the GA welcome centre and stop for breakfast this kills 12 hours of our drive with virtually no traffic on I75. Then from there we drive to Macon GA and stop for lunch then off to Valdosta for the night. We then leave Sunday morning for Disney and usually arrive there around noon or 1 in the afternoon. It is by far the best way we have found to drive it breaks it up a couple days tops and leaves you all relaxed for your first day at Disney.

When we used to drive down, we went through Buffalo across I90 to Erie then down I79 through Pittsburgh, etc. on to US19 and stopped at Summersville, WV the first night. From there, across I77 to I95 north of Savannah, GA for our second stop. From there it is about 4 hours to WDW. Arrive nice and refreshed, check in and at the parks by 2 PM or so. Now we fly Southwest out of Buffalo.

Im with you on this one. Stops a bit different but same route. It is 4 hrs min shorter than detroit route. DO NOT SPEED ON US19. Not even 1mph over. They love ontario plates. If you have a huge RV and not so strong TV I would go I75 through Det. Less mountains. We towed our pup on the buff route with no problems with our Chev Astro.
