We leave this Thurs to travel to Buffalo for Friday flight. Just wondering which bridge would be best to cross at? Fort Erie or Lewiston? We'll be leaving TO around 2pm so probably in the border area around 3:30-4pm. Any preferences?? thanks, Jo

We always got Ft Erie. It doesn't seem to be as busy as the other bridges and the airport is clearly marked on the highway. It's about 10-15 min past the bridge.

We always cross at Queenston/Lewiston, even if we're just going to Buffalo shopping. Never had a border wait, and it's very easy to get to the airport going that way. I know lots of people like to stay in Canada for as long as possible so that's why they'll choose the Peace Bridge. I truly think it's six of one, half a dozen of the other.

It depends on whether you want to pay tolls or not!

We travelled thru the Queenston/Lewiston this past Saturday and though there weren't many cars, the US guys seems to like to hold us up! :confused3 Don't know whether they were looking for someone or what?

They guy we had tried to stare DD down and tried intimidating her. Nice try, but I felt like telling him that you are dealing with a Teenager! But I kept my mouth shut! Never know when you get one that's on an Authority Kick!

I prefer Peace Bridge but did not think that we would be travelling that far this time! :lmao: :lmao:

We used the Peace Bridge last April based on recommendations here. It worked very well.

I vote the Peace Bridge because no tolls between there and airport.

I cross over at Lewiston all the time to go shopping and there is never a wait...I think once we waited 5 minutes, but that was a Saturday morning.

We prefer Queenston-Lewiston. I think our car goes into auto-pilot and knows how to get to the boarder without us. :) We too are flying out of Buffalo and since its basically the exit before Walden Galleria we are going that way.

Have a great trip!

it really depends. I wouldnt go with peace bridge because it's going out of your way.. we always go lewiston-queenston when heading to toronto, and sometimes rainbow. Don't overlook the rainbow in niagara falls because there is NO truck traffic so sometimes it's WAY quicker. And just a time.. that boader wait times website isn't always on.. we tried to follow it once and it screwed us up big time!

so in other words, i'd say lewiston queenston (to 190s to 290e to 90w to 33e), or rainbow (robert moses to see above)
